Is that an in-house joke Punkdoc? I had interrupt Hubbys TV viewing to tell him. I thought it was very funny. He's watching Greg and John testing potential cooks on Master Chef (one of his favourite shows). Not sure he liked being disturbed.
Just about the same here pp and raining to boot. Hope you lucky people are keeping your cool. Dove looks as though she's managing.
Happy Birthday to Fairylet. Hope we get to see a piece of the chocolate cake. It's 2nd son's birthday tomorrow but I bought a cake. I'll see him before he goes to work then disappear down the M6, taking part of his cake with me. It's our 37th anniversary on Thursday but we're celebrating the two events when I get back. Good luck with the next 33 Obelixx.
When Possum was small she didn't like carrots so I'd hide them in a chocolate carrot cake recipe which made a great 10" square cake or about 30 little buns which I'd freeze and then dole out off elevenses at school. The full cake had a white chocolate and cream cheese icing and used to be her favourite until Aunty Chris made a chocolate Guinness cake one year when we visited. Now she makes it for her Belgian friends as a full cake or cup cakes. Raised a few euros for Amnesty International with those.
It's after 6pm and we have 30 in the shade on the north facing wall. Much attic sorting accomplished but my goodness it's warm and drippy up there even with windows open and the breeze.

doc's was the winning joke Pat. You can find them online. I liked Gary Delaney's as well.
I'm afraid fairylet's cake won't look much like a cake. She just wanted chocolate sponge with cream so she'll just take a chunk of cake and spread cream on it - like bread and butter! Much easier than her big sister's usual requests for Superheroes or the 'precious' ring form Lord of the Rings that I had to do a few years ago
Got up to the dizzy heights of fifteen here Ppauper - barbecue weather! It was 11 when I went to work this morning.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I think it eventually got as high as 17 here FG and I was nearly keeling over with my strimmer. I really can't stick the heat but I could do without quite so much rain.
I'm trying to plan my lawn treatment 5 days after, 7 days before not immediately after mowing and rain 18 hours a day. I need an abacus.

Funny that. I just shouted "Organ Donor" at the idiot on a motorbike who has just wanged down at 60 in a 30 limit.
Phew!

It's soaring to 14° here. I'd better head round the North side before I overheat!

Thanks Lesley. Congrats for your 37th.

The heating has been put on and I'm wearing a warm top
Fairy, I reckon we had our summer when it was the glorious spring. . . . remember it?
To be a heady 17c or 18c tomorrow
