Think you could be right about that match Yvie - the breaks of serve were incredible! Like a gladiatorial contest from the ancient Olympics - how fitting!
I managed to stay awake at work - not sure what'll happen if I lie down after dinner....
Good to see you're hanging in there B'man - hugs from me and the little fairylets too
Steve - fantastic! Does Mo have to start getting worried....
It's such a good feeling when you achieve something you set out to do - especially if it's a bit outside your comfort zone. I used to run a bit when the girls were little and initially couldn't get to the end of the road without needing oxygen, but like you say, very quickly you find you're doing half an hour fairly easily. It's hard on the knees though. Hillwalking suits me better, even if I need two knee braces to do it! Challenging ourselves is what life is about.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Well done Steve! I started it but found that the app I use wasn't any good as my normal pace walk was seen as running so when I did get a jiggle on it kept telling me to slow down. Fell over and that stopped me. I want to try again though.
I've just noticed that the mass of skin tag mark things I have only one side of my neck... now reach the other side and go down my back. Horrid looking things! I hope the Internet might have a cure for me.
Meant to be going to Meadowhell with his lordship for new work shirts etc. but he's stuck at work so I've come in for a lay down and rest.
Hello folks Back home and watching 'lympics after a day of moules, icecream , laying on the beach in the sun, browsing in gift shops and driving through beautiful countryside with top down
Friend delivered safely to station, suitably refreshed and revived and ready to manage major office move. Will he need another weekend in Norfolk to recover?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
FG, I've just read an article that said they were already engaged and she was already wearing the ring, but he wore a T shirt saying "Marry Me" and she said "he's such a banana because he's already asked me"
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Clari, what about a week or two doing research and development in East Anglia? We've got a few famous lifeboat museums virtually on the beach - you can't get a more 'emergency vehicle' than a lifeboat !

BL - and she just said yes to her boyfriend
I've put something on the Olympics thread for anyone who wants a laugh- no need to be 'sporty' to understand it either

I want a day at the seaside. Why is it every holiday is in the winter and every day off is dedicated to washing?
Might need to sneak off for the day and hope no one notices.

Clari. Do any of the bosses get time off in the summer? If so, you could ask for even a few days
