Afternoon all! Sat in a nice cool coffee shop. Alas at work but you can't have everything.

I had the most wonderful meal at a Chinese restaurant in Sheffield. Gluten free with wonderful staff who were happy to find the answers to anything you asked.

    Yeah!

Lawns cut, 2 hours of my life I won't get back, a few floppy flowers decapitated, and now very hot.

Going to sit in the shade and snooze.

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Teehee, that's what I thought Pat but it did conjure up a ticklingly comical image! image

Clari, doesn't that make a refreshing change! Glad you enjoyed the meal image

    Afternoon all!

Shed painting finished.  The new paint is less gloopy than the old, so I may need to apply a second coat - but not today, going to see son & DIL in York this afternoon.  image  Staying overnight because we have a rehearsal tomorrow, in the centre of York, and a lot of the approach roads will be closed to accommodate a road race... tis a good excuse to pay them a visit.

Actually, sitting in the shade & snoozing (thanks for the idea, Punkdoc) sounds just the thing...  I wonder if OH will wake me up when it's time to leave...

Hope the barbecue goes well, Wonky.  Forecast is reasonable for here, hope it is for you too!

Pat,  can she not come for morning coffee so that your head has time to recover? image

She works as a cave guide over in the mountains and has irregular days off so we never know when she is going to visit. Day times on her days off, she does things for her 85 year old mother who lives in our village. Nights her mother likes to watch the footie on TV, so doesn't like her daughter talking while she is watching. (I have her mums sympathy , except then she comes and spoils our viewing). Bah!

    night Joyce.
