Hmm, carbs can be a problem, even for fairies!!!

Good morning all image  Afraid it's a lovely sunny morning here in Norfolk, wall to wall blue sky and 18C already - we woke to see a hot air balloon drifting past our window (they take off from just up the road, so they're often low when they come over here.

Hopefully the weather is going to hold fair for Wonky's BBQ - the forecast is really good imageimage

Morning folks! Afternoon Pat! I have a lovely image of Pats hubby being away and two lads hung in the washing line to dry! image

Fairy, you know the rule, biscuits mate for life! You can't separate a breeding pair! And besides, you need it as an anchor when your climbing windy hills! image

Hosta....or what's left of him! Wowzers! To borrow captain caveman's  expression of awe and shock! That's a heck of a lot of weight! And booze! We done you! You must feel like a different person! ( but we all spoken for so got to stick with what we got! image)

Obelixx congratulations on 33 years together! I hope you have a lovely time away both of you image

Dove, just like you we have beautiful sunshine here and blue skies with cats sprawling on the " terrace" by the door, no hot air balloons though but i have coffee number one in hand, sand pits still forming in the corners of my eyes and purple dressing gown very much still clothing of the moment!

Potato salad and coleslaw still to make and BBQ to light but was getting things ready til sundown last night, so fairly on track!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'll let you know when foods ready!

    Hi all.

Wall to wall sunshine here, must cut the lawns today.

Did anyone see the fabulous programme on the Scottish highlands, last night, magnificent scenery and wild life photography.

Am going to book a week in Gairloch, as I realised watching the programme, how much I missed it. Have not been for a couple of years. Despite some of the amazing places, I have been lucky to go to, Gairloch and the North West coast, is still my favourite place on earth.

    Congrats. Hosta and hubby.

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

    Congratulations to those celebrating anniversaries.image

    Enjoy the BBQ  WWimage

Pdoc...the ospreys on the programme were stunning. . . the wing motion in particular.

Of course, belonging to the west coast, I endorse your feelings about itimage

    Morning!

Lovely sunny day - will be pottering and lazing outside today.

We've been to some lovely places and been lucky enough to enjoy some fabulous holidays - but the very best memories are from the NW coast of Scotland - almost anywhere north of Fort William.

If it wasn't for the summer midges & variable weather I'm sure it would be heaving with tourists and over-developed. Instead, it's arguably the most beautiful wild space on the planet - love it image

Congratulation to Hosta, Wonky and Obelixx - enjoy your celebrations imageimageimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Well that was a short day. image

Low black clouds en route but I was optimistic. Approaching Stirling it was looking worse. Still optimistic. Through Callander - Ben Ledi only half visible. Still optimistic. Approaching Lochearnhead - skies clearing - bit of sun. Hurray! By the time I got to the end of the loch - cloud right down, raining -could barely see the other side of the loch  image Waited forty minutes but it was like Mordor so I came home. image  What's even more irritating is the fact that, once past Stirling,  it was beautiful - and sunny  image

The Scottish weather...what was it you were saying T'bird?....image

On the plus side - I have a washing on and can get on with my new bed as I went to B&Q on the way back and got soil conditioner.  Would rather be up a hill though image

Think that's the prog that was on last year - only up here though. Lovely Ewan McGregor narrating? The other one was good too, with John Hannah - Loch Lomond /Trossachs. Same principle.  The cameramen are astonishing on these shows. Unfortunately, no scenic photos for me today image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

That's too bad Fairy image  after your early start.

At least you can have a productive few hours in the garden image

It's a pain Joyce - but the hill will still be there next week  image

I should have gone yesterday after work instead  image
