Nettles and bracken conquered (well, possibly more lurking in the depths, but a good start made). Now resting my aching limbs and waiting for the tennis to start ......COME ON ANDY
Evening folks, well today was a bit of a non starter, got as far as getting petrol and felt so awful that we turned round and came home and I've just been sniffing on the sofa drinking honey and lemon and watching Poirot. Eyes are streaming as if I've been chopping onions but I haven't been! Absolutely no strength to hawk myself about so I've just phoned work and told them they don't want me there, they agreed!
Lesley if you insist the next honey and lemon will have a honey brandy in! if you think it will do me good!
Hosta, don't you love technology!?! Doesn't it make everything so much easier! sorry you had a pants day!
Yvie, sorry I gave you my last cold, I'm keeping myself confined this time and am holding my breath as I type, little choice when your nose is this blocked!
Busy day cutting back hazel trees and large shrubs. Huge pile on the lawn - too tired to clear it up. Lots of watering done too.
Dinner eaten & the main tennis event is just about to start - a bit later than scheduled but that's ok - won't be trying to do other things between points. Hope all that's watching enjoy - c'mon Andy!
Hope you feel better soon Wonky
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Seem to have recovered from yesterday's exhaustion, thankfully, as I always worry that's a sign of a flare up of one of my (many, sadly) chronic health issues. I went on a good drive around the local garden centres this morning, one independent and two Wyevales. Picked up some bargains, and some nice candle fragrances I've not tried before. Planted up my bargains and slowly got bits of housework done.
My relative in hospital is still very unwell. Despite having many blood transfusions in the last two weeks there has been no improvement in their haemoglobin levels, so the big worry is some internal bleeding that hasn't been identified yet. Tomorrow they'll undergo further investigations, it's such a worry.
Going to try to relax now, plan is to keep busy tomorrow by clearing out my home office, so I think I'll need to save my energy for that!
I'm sorry to hear that Dewdrops, I hope they find the cause soon - and a cure.
Sorry you have a nasty cold Wonky. At least it will give you a chance to watch the Olympics.
Gymnastics were great, watched show jumping too and sailing. Has Andy started yet? Must go and check, may have missed him. Came into the kitchen to keep OH company for a bit. He never watches sport.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Best wishes to all
WW , honey & lemon needs Brandy ( or Whiskey ) to be really effective
Or even whisky
I am biased of course.
