Will have to pop into the city today. I think I'm going to need another ball of yarn for this sweater. Hope they've still got some even if it's not the same dye lot I'm not a loose knitter so I don't know why I'm running short
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Change of plan - I was looking at the measurements for the long sleeves, not the 3/4 length Think I'm going to be ok. Don't really want to go into the city on a lovely day like today ... shall finish my coffee, take my 'going into the city clothes' off and put something slightly scruffier on ... and get outside

Dove, at least if you need to buy a ball of yarn with a different dye lot , it won't be noticeable on a sleeve . by the bye. Do you know the trick that you can employ if you need to change mid garment. I was told about it years ago, and it really does work. You knit one row of the new colour, then 2 rows of the old one, then two rows of the new one, then one row of the old one. (1:2:2:1). Then continue with the new one. It tricks the eye.
Pat, I have some inktense pencils. They look really pale when you fiill in with them, but the colour comes up when you add water with a brush. There are quite a few videos on youtube on how to use them.
I was up early. I ran my friend back to Birmingham airport for check in at 7. As we crossed the Trent, the water meadows had a light mist covering them, with the sun low it was really pretty. A van on the North bound carriageway should have kept his eye on the road, instead he went straight into the back of a lorry, and the traffic wombles shut all three lanes Northbound while they sorted it out.
All sorted by the time I came back though.
Washer on here as well, it looks like it will be a good day.
Hubby is still in bed. He drove to Glasgow and back yesterday for a three hour job. Five hour drive there, six hours back.
Thanks Fairy. Yes I've been watching the Australian, Peta Hewitt, demonstrating on YouTube with the Derwent intense pencils. That is how I heard about them. I'm looking forward to receiving them. My Aquarelle pencils aren't nearly as good as the ones she demonstrated.
HVe a good day. Hope Hubby has a chance to recover from his driving day.

Bushman, are the Scottish ones the same as ours? These one are a real pest in the garden. They dig up all the bulbs and seedlings.
