Morning all. We are going out to lunch today. I wanted to watch the Show Jumping, but just can't work out what time it's on. I've Googled and seen 10am, 15.00h, 03.00h.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The cold I was cultivating on Friday has turned into a propper snotfest! going to keep busy though as I can nearly breath when upright! So I will be heading off to a late riser car boot sale shortly.
Morning all. Bright eyed and bushy tailed here (not). Glad I stayed up to watch tho
Today marks part II of an assault on a nettley, brackeny patch that is going to be transformed into a new buddleja patch. We want one that we can see from the patio so that we can watch the flutterbyes without getting off our behinds. Part I yesterday was bl&&&y hard work
Chicky - we've got a Buddleja Miss Ruby right in front of the sitting room window - we can see our flutterbyes from the comfort of the sofa - OH thinks he saw a Hummingbird Hawkmoth flying away from it yesterday evening, but he's not sure ...
B. Miss Ruby is great - a really deep pinky red - a hint of magenta - not a huge plant, - probably about 5ft at the moment (planted the summer of 2014) and a very elegant shape. Recommended!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks Dove - I think we have a Miss Ruby (ours is called Sugar Plum, but I think they are the same thing) ......gorgeous colour. We also have the ubiquitous, but beautiful Black Knight, a pink pagoda and some Empire Blues. We had a bit of a spending spree when we went to the national collection at Longstock last year, and Mr C has been taking cuttings too. The flutterbyes are flocking (although not as many as last year .......maybe the weather)
Morning all, Feeling very sleepy this morning and didn't even stay up to watch Olympics. Oh just noticed it's afternoon. Caught up on the highlights, did anyone see the long jumper who was so disappointed he only got a bronze he cried. Mo's just getting his medal, not sure I can bear another terrible rendition of the national anthem, lord knows where they got the recording from.
Spent much of yesterday at Secondborns cuddling Jonah,he is so cute at the moment, lots of giggles and very squidgy.
Quilt is coming along. Never made one before so each step is a new experience.
Sorry to hear you have another cold Wonky, last time you gave it to me but I'd be so grateful if you could keep it to youself this time

I need to know in French time, an hour ahead of English. Please does anyone know?
BL. I Googled show jumping schedule and it said 3pm (your time) for individual and team.
I've found it a bit hit and miss finding some some of the events at the scheduled times.
Good morning all, hi Pat
