I remember it well Joyce - marvellous, for here anyway. June was quite good too. image

I had the strange experience in July of still having some green narcissus foliage, while having plants already 'turning'. The horse chestnuts are all golden now. I noticed lots of stuff along Loch Lomond quite yellow on my travels on Saturday - not sure which trees as I wasn't close enough. I'll have a closer look next time I'm going past. Think we'll get some good colour this year  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Congratulations to Obelixx and Lesley for anniversaries and Happy Birthday to Fairylet.

It was 31° here today. We went to visit DIL, her OH and 2 grandchildren (OH's) at the campsite where they are on holiday in Dordogne. We all went out to lunch in nearby town and paddled in the river, which was freezing!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Fairygirl thanks for info , makes sense , we live in Lincolnshire and the West Generally  , Derbyshire , Peak District and Yorkshire Dales seem to get bad weather and miss us

However , in winter we do get some times an Artic blast from Scandinavia

On the whole UK doesn't do to bad when you look at what happens world wide

    All the best image
