Good morning all image  D'day Pat image

And imageimageimage to everyone who's had celebrations that I've somehow missed image

Looks like another glorious day ahead here - sorry if some of you aren't getting this sunshine image

DD - so good to hear from you and Charlie - glad that things are going well - I'm sure there'll be tricky times, but I know that there's nothing as miserable as being in a bad relationship so I'm glad you've made the move image

We're eating Polka raspberries every evening ... sometimes with ice cream image

The little veg patch is really productive at the moment, toms, cumbers, corn, squash, pak choi, peas and chard ... and at long last we've got some beans on the way ... the climbing french beans I bought as plants from the GC when the second lot of White Emergo seeds rotted.

Also our espaliered pear tree has its first crop - one pear on each of the four lower branches image  not ready yet, but looking very good.

Morning all/ afties Pat - enjoy your trip  image

I'm like you fidget - so used to doing things by myself, it's hard to ask for help.

Greta to hear it's going well DD - despite the difficulties. You're running on adrenaline just now - at some point you'll collapse into a big heap, but you'll get there! Charlie will love his new found independence. Hard letting them do all that though isn't it? Hope the end is in sight with the BB situation too - you should be getting a large sum for the management of it, since that's what you're doing. I understand though - sometimes you just have to do whatyou have to do. Enjoy your day off tomorrow. Love to you both xxx  image

chicky - there's cake now...can't guarantee it'll be the same in twelve hours time...image

Lovely day here, but work now so no outdoor stuff for me  image

Catch you all later. Have fun....

Sorry I've been AWOL for a couple of days - have been having problems with t'interweb since Sunday. Much techie talk with provider and invested in a new router and filters yesterday and now have a stable connection - but wth a speed of just 0.5mbps - so unusable for most tasks. Man coming tomorrow to sort it out hopefully.

Hmm - posted part way through...

Unable to read back but congrats to all that deserve them, special congrats to DD image

I only have 4 canes of polka rasberries but they have already produced abt 3 kilos of fruit. Have made 3 jars of jam and a big tub of sorbet from them as well as just enjoying the fresh berries nearly every day for last 2 weeks.

Hope to be able to chat properly after tomorrow. A little bit of work now then trying to keep cool for the rest of the day (car thermometer got up to 32C yesterday - hotter today).

Safe journey to BL for getting to UK - can't remember exactly when.

Great to hear you're OK DD and Charlie too.   Remember to record your Independence Day and celebrate it each year - even if things get tough at times you'll be be in charge with no-one to undermine or control you and your neighbours will be happy to help if asked, as will we, all be it form a distance.

Another lovely sunny start here and my sprinkler has died so the early SM run will include a trip to the GC for a new one.  It's on automatic to keep all my treasures in good nick for the move so is an essential piece of kit.

Pleased your enjoying all the grandkids Busy, and anyone else who gets to see more of them in the summer hols.

That chocolate cake looked good FG.  Thanks for sharing.

Have a good day everyone, whether you're baking or shivering.

    Hi all

Sorry missed a few birthdays and anniversaries, Fairy you were always my favourite, can I have some cake please?

OH working from home today, so I wasn't woken at 5.30, which was nice.

Very warm again, so I think gardening will be more mental, rather than physical.
