    I was only joking! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
    Sorry!
My main wildlife is the birds visiting. Dave is the regular. Jumping up the back steps to the door is about the only exercise he gets   ;)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Not garden wildlife but who can tell me what these well camouflaged waders are?

    What size are their beaks/bills?
    Sandpiper of some kind maybe?

Short and straight so I thought sandpipers too but really don't know about seabirds.

Turnstone for the dark ones, sanderling for the light ones?

Thank you for this - these are beautiful. I love macro photography and insects (knowing only a smidgen about each, though), so this is perfect.

The pigeons of the seaside. You often see them picking up crumbs around peoples' feet in seaside towns. They turn more pasty crusts than stones.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Thanks for the IDs.   No crumbs round feet in resorts here but then the whole set up here is different.  They are such busy little birds, all year round, running back and forth on the edge of the water.

Lovely though. Not my area of expertise @Obelixx - anything to do with the sea.
I knew some of 'the boys' would come to the rescue   ;)

'Turn more pasty crumbs than stones' - there's a phrase you don't hear every day @wild edges   :D
