Thanks @Fairygirl it’s a wildlife camera so I can view it 24 hours a day from my iPad, I’ve spent far too many hours watching them this summer 😏😂 @wild edges For the first time this morning, one of the chicks flew up onto the pole that the bat’s creepy hands are wrapped around but during the day the light on the nest isn’t very good so when I take a screenshot from the live feed it doesn’t come out that well 🤔
Managed to get a photo on my phone of one of the chicks looking over the edge of the bat nest @wild edges They normally shrink down into the nest when we come in and out of the porch so I was pleased I managed to take the photo before they fledge.
Much excitement here this morning A green woodpecker hoovering up ants at the edge of lawn and path. Stayed ages 20-30 mins instead of the usual 30 secs to a minute. Then even better joined by a second one. Sorry its not a great picture with phone, lots of good shots with proper camera but can't download at present. Need to zoom past the sculpture.
We’ve just found this tiny grasshopper/cricket on my son’s bedroom door this morning. We’ve popped him/her into the garden .., but does anyone recognise it? Not much more than a centimeter in length
I have lived in my current home for 18 years and never seen a thrush. I have seen my first one this morning, busy banging a snail on a stone. I have everything crossed they will stay around. I have often seen them on the ground at the local village green so I knew there were some in my local vicinity but I am ridiculously excited!
