Not mine Joyce, concrete slab base. Plenty of other sheds though
Most of the urban foxes seem to live in "the bushes" over the road from us. Our street only has houses on one side, there is a large office building surrounded by mature trees and shrubs on the other side. You can see them going in and out of the undergrowth late at night. Mother and babies come out to play on the green on summer nights.
This fella seems to be a bit of a sun worshipper, and bold as brass. It's almost as if he's saying "What you looking at?"
On my normal morning walk I usually stop and lean over a gate to watch the foals in the field next to the Stud. This morning a hare came out of the hedge alongside, sat down no more than 2 metres away from me and proceeded to have a good wash. We stayed in companionably silence for a good 5 minutes before it got up and ambled away. I don't think it ever cottoned on that I was there. No camera sadly and if I had moved it would have fled.
Lovely photos Zenjeff. Funny how these things happen every year, and we possibly see them every year, yet they always thrill us and bring a smile
Nice story too Berghill. That's the kind of thing you remember
There was a single hare in one of the fields in Glen Lyon on Sunday - just a few yards from the road. Very unusual- you don't often see them in that context. He moved away as I drove along, and I could see he had a scrappy little tail. Don't know if that's why he was alone...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I saw a hare in the fields on my commute and was astounded at the size of it. Those back legs are way too big for them!
I was sat in the summerhouse with the doors closed and a woodpecker came eating ants on the lawn outside. I too sat stock still or it would have disappeared and I had a camera tantalisingly on the table. I think I breathed and it shot off, they are really shy.

Squirrel sitting on my fence snacking on a suet feeder yesterday afternoon...
Great GIF runny

He was definitely pushed
Is that a pea-hen on your son's car? A very unique photo? A local school used to keep peacocks and they were so loud when calling.
Jess, your little squirrel looks like a garden ornament posing on the fence post
While walking today this pond here in the North East teaming with frogs and spawn
It certainly is Zenjeff
Reminds me of the ponds on the farm when I was young - great
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

That's lovely Philippa, I have never seen a live one. He is enjoying the sunshine.
