They need the Munro piper M.Up. He takes his bagpipes to the top of the hill and plays, so he has plenty of puff.  He's quite famous now.

I had my fill of Agricultural shows when I produced ponies. Don't miss it at all. You couldn't pay me enough to go to them now -  just make the rosettes instead image   We don't do Turiff though. Weather's supposed to be a bit better in the next couple of days further north, but I'm back at work. Was looking longingly at some hills as well...image

Had to have a break from shovelling. The old wrists aren't what they used to be image

Braemar gathering is quite soon Pp - you could always come over and go to that. Plenty of big men in kilts   image

Think if Hosta was on the telly, he might get censored quite a bit Wonks...image

Sky was black on the north side of the house, but still reasonably bright at the other side when I came in for a cuppa. If Joyce has rain, I should get it soon. It was spitting slightly...  image

    Hi allimage

That blessed rain keeps coming and going.  I've rescued the washing off the line for the third timeimage.  Fairy glad you're having a break.  I remembered the request for cake but the most appropriate seemed to be rock buns.

Sorry to hear about Tigger Lizzieimage.

I used to love the Ag shows when I lived down South.  The Bath and West was brilliant.  The Royal Highland Show is normally a wash-out and tractors are called into action to pull out all the cars that are stuck in the mudimage.

Hello all, this really is a flying visit, just to let you know I am alive. Working all hours, absolutely full on and trying to move house, terribly stressful but will soon be over, job is just for summer and house is so tiny filling it won't take much longer. image

I really hope you are all well, I spotted a sorry about Tigger post, so Lizzie I don't know what happened but thinking of him.image Missing all the gossip, but will be back to normal (???) soon I hope.

Have to go, working at a wedding in 45 minutes for a 150 Indians, all flown over specially for it, with their own chefs, am on duty until 2 in the morning, then back to full B&B to serve breakfast and make beds and then back at the chateau for farewell lunch, this time tomorrow I'll be asleep on my feet.

I am fine, Charlie is fine, everything will be fine soon. Staying positive. image

Sounds exhausting but positive DD.   Good luck with it all.

Possum's chocolate beetroot cake took ages to cook because she wanted it square and not round for easier sharing.   Took ages to cool too before I could do the chocolate ganache so didn't get to bed till 2am.   Feeling weary now but have done the first coat of primer on the kitchen/didning chairs I am renovating for Possum's student flat.

OH has been busy cutting grass and strimming edges.  I shall have a potter after a bit more sorting.

Poor Tigger.   Hope he feels better after a good bath.   Ours aren't sure about baths but do love the rub down process afterwards.

Not quite and Ag show with piped music but Possum wanted to go to the ballet for her 18th birthday so we booked tickets to see the Moscow ballet do Swan Lake in Brussels.   The music was on a CD!

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
