There were fireworks in the village last night so old Tigger was terrified as usual and decided he'd sleep in his old bedroom, the entrance hall. Recently, since the weather warmed up he has preferred to sleep in the stable, as his back legs have got very wobbly and he doesn't like the tiled floor. The stable has non slip rubber mats. So I put a bed in the stable. Another reason is he likes to go to the loo in the night now he's old. He's a Border Collie.
Anyway, I heard him yelp early this morning and came down to find the most frightful mess. He'd been incontinent and slipped on the tiles (I've put bits of carpet down to help him) and got stuck in the passageway on his tummy with his legs out sideways. It took nearly an hour to get him outside (put a towel under his tummy to pull him up) and clean up the mess. He's still fast asleep but I need to give him a bath. Then I'll need a bath.
We are going to a friend's birthday lunch party, hope we aren't late.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Oh Busy! The poor dog. Isn't it awful when they start to struggle: I hope he isn't too upset by having a bath. Reggie always thinks its the WORST THING EVER and how could we possibly betray him (then he jumps in the pond).
Nope, no sleep yet Joyce. Just hung out my second load of laundry and filled the machine with number 3.
Thanks for the conservation glass tip clarington, I'll have to have a google for a local supplier. Are you all done with drying out Reggie's testicles now? I suppose it depends how thin you slice them
What a bunch of blethers right enough. Between this and GoS it's taken me ages to catch up.
I had a nightmare and now I've woken up with a headache. Hate that.
Cool again here so hopefully I'll get outside. Got loads done yesterday.
Oh BL Poor old Tigger. I've had three dogs who have been ancient and ailing and Bran is getting there fast. Her back legs a bit wobbly but she's still able to get about. She does have the odd slip when she forgets she's old and attempts a gallop. (bit like myself really)
I love ag shows but I've run out of volunteers to go with me. All the children have grown up and won't "volunteer" any more and they're too big to fight.
Will there be Highland Games at yours? A "friend of mine" is a big time highland gamer. He sent me a particularly nice pic of him heaving a heavy thing over his head and I had it as my screen wallpaper for a while .

ENjoy the party!

flippin' 'eck, you've been a chatty bunch.
Wonky, what have I been roped into presenting? I must have missed the start of that chat?
Maybe Steve TGV and I could be a double act "a la" Mel and Sue on bake off? If he asks for a double entendre, I'd give him one.

Happy Gardening Everyone.
'if he asks for a double entendre, I'd give him one'....
Hosta - he only wanted a double entendre, you don't have to ...oh, I see what you mean....

Bit cooler here too Pp so I'm about to head out and shift gravel...hope someone will have cake for me later or some sort of reward
I'm more sore today after working in the garden yesterday than I am after doing hills. Must be my age...
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've just Googled my address on Google maps and the picture is from 9 years ago. (It used to be a more recent one).
Now I can see where Bill had stuff planted before it all became over grown!
Don't mind me...carry on...

.
Taped? TAPED? What sort of outfit are they running there MU?
Rain has called a halt to gardening
so no excuse now for not getting things done in the house.
pp - it's at Highland Games that muscled men putt the shot, throw the hammer and toss the caber.
