Too many thoughts rushing around my head after reading back, but Hubby informed me that those bulls bits and pieces are also know as "prairie oysters" .image

i absolutely loved the painted cupboards. I wish I could paint like that. I can only do the stuff I've been taught - no imagination required - just paint what I see in front of me. I'm still struggling with the iPad painting. The trouble is that I'm not sure that I like the finished pieces I've seen on the DVDs. They are not my idea of nice pictures.

Hazel, thanks for the nice comment about HRH. While I love her to bits, she is a bit of a fussy madam (sounds like Reggie). Only Mum's food will do. She didn't wake up until 10.50 this morning. Too snuggled in her soft bed. Talk about the princess and the pea!

I took s photo of the sky late yesterday. It changed very quickly, so I missed the best part.

this morning there is almost no clouds in a clear blue sky.just a few white puffs here and there.

Good morning Pat image  what a beautiful sunset. Even though you say you missed the best part it looks fab to me.

I've got a feline version of HRH (in age anyway) 14 now this year, and a right grumpy old girl. She loves her home comforts and spends most of her days snoozing in a comfy spot. Woe betide anyone who tries to shift her image

Sad to read the iPad art isn't working out for you image but at least your physical paintings  are lovely. I keep meaning to post some of my grandmothers work on here, she did some lovely paintings.

I thought I had some smaller pictures inside this book she gave me, but only found a skeletonized leaf. I must have put them in the Attic with the large paintings. When she died my cousins took most of the framed work that had been gallery displayed and I took the paintings left "as is" .

I have a lovely painting of a poppyfield which I've been afraid to put on the wall in case it fades on the sunlight image image

    Good morning all image

Returning to yesterday's theme, I have a qualification in castration, if that's of any use?image

Hope Wonky's awake soon - there's a rainwater butt heading her way shortly!

Sunny sky here. I may get more shredding done today. All that rain means that triffid weeds are going bonkers.

Lovely paintings Kitty. Just my kind of thing - fine work combined with horticultureimage.

Dove, rubber bands or knives? image

Have been out the back getting yet more firewood, and took some photos but they are on Hubbys camera so I'll have to wait until he gets back from socialising with some friends.

Kitty: you can get painting framed with conservation glass that prevents fading if it helps!

Morning all. Not at all keen on this home alone lark; it's so quiet! Had a message to say Reggie slept well and promptly naffed off to share grandparents bed! He is nothing if not loyal to his master ? Considering all the problems we've had once he gets to know you he's no fear of wandering off and forgetting about us if there's fuss to be had.

Had a wander around the garden with my early mug of tea. I think I'll be filling the green bin again tomorrow!

Hope you got some sleep Kitty and that the film didn't keep you awake Yvie.

A week of fairly good weather forecast image so hoping to complete the taming of the garden.

    Enjoy your weekend folks.

    Hi all.

I think we should stop all this testicle talk, it is making me quite queasy.

Lovely and sunny here, OH has said I am safe to be left, so she is off for the day, so I shall be wilderness taming.

Morning all/afties Pat. Did you have to mention the rubber bands - reminds me of the vet 'doing' young ponies and I haven't had my breakfast yet  image

Loved your sunset pic - you should stick that on the camera thread too  image

Good day here so more grafting to do. I misread your post Joyce - thought you said 'tanning in the garden'. Bit optimistic , I thought...image

I'm sitting here and I can hear a buzzard. There's always a few round here this time of year. The crows will start giving them grief soon,no doubt.

Nice to see you doc. Bit of fresh air and 'taming' is always good to put the world to rights image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
