    Clarington says:

.....My morning tea tastes rather like the nutritional supplement I feed the dog. Nutty with a hint of floor sweeping...

I did indeed Dove! It's a blend of dried vegetables and berries so at least not tripe flavoured. I wanted to know how strong a taste it had while weaning him on to it so I could work out roughly how much I could sneak in before he'd notice and turn his nose up.

I'm not above chewing on (good quality) training treats in a bid to make him realise that they were food!

    Good morning All,

Been very hot here last few days but looks a bit cloudy for now.hope it'll perk up later. image

Not got to be anywhere particular for most of the day, first time for about a week, just a little informal debrief meeting tonight for English Week so that is nice, I might even go back to bed once the B&B guests have finished breakfast. image Just some h*******k and i*****g to do and a bit of gardening to make the place look presentable, oh and welcome yet more new guests to the B&B later. image

Clari, I do feel sorry for you and your tummy, it does rather sound like a faff image and your days off sound a bit like mine too. image

On the plus side, Clari, re the 'floor sweepings' - it would be ideal for sowing nasturtiums....image

We have plans to sort the pond out today - some of the marginals need hauling out and splitting up, and the hornwort and water soldier needs reducing too - all without upsetting the frogs and making sure we look after all the snails as well as any others who live in there.

OH says he's going to do it (under instruction) as otherwise I'll fall in and he'll have to rescue me image - he says he'll do it whether it rains or not.  I say it depends how heavy the rain is, as I do't want to stand out there getting soaked image

Morning all. I'm glad it's cloudy and cooler today. Was 30° yesterday, saps my energy.

Going to try a new restaurant for lunch, a friend is coming with us. Another friend recommended it.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thanks Chicky!

Pat, I hope your OH has had a great birthday.

I've got a day to myself, just a few errands to run, so it should be quite a pleasant one.

    Morning all.

Overcast with a threat here. There's a surprise!

I'm hoping to get something...anything done outside. It's been over a week since it hasn't poured and the place is a bit of a state!

Thankfully before the monsoons came I had the grass in reasonable shape but it's starting to look a bit scary even at that! Some parts are unwalkable onable.

The problem is, apart from the wading of course, that when the grass is wet it makes the grass box twice as heavy and it becomes double hernia time!

I've borrowed a strimmer from lawnmower guy while he sorts mine out so that'll be a laugh. It's a tad heavier than mine and I'm not sure how to "go" it.

    Life's just one big adventure!

Clari, knock that tea nonsense on the head...smells delicious, tastes like stick!

Someone has killed my smilies again so just insert what you feel appropriate to your mood. :-)

    Happy gardening everybody.
