    @floralies im sorry I can’t really help you with that ... I’m used to doing socking great big oil paintings on canvas. Hopefully you can find something helpful online  🤞

    Thank you @Dovefromabove and @Pat E, My daughter sent me a book at Christmas and there is a lot of information on line, so I am doing as much research as possible. There are on line tuition courses as well which I will have a look at.  :)

  • @ floralies  I would get some practice in with the brush strokes first on some thickish cartridge paper before going on the Xuan,which no doubt is more expensive. You can get some beautiful effects,and you probably wont need stacks of brushes! Good luck,and I will be looking out for your masterpieces on here.😊

    Thanks @Valley Gardener as you say, practicing the basics is the most important, I will surely post a "masterpiece" here.   :)
  • I just had a quick price up of the paper@floralies,and its not a bad price.
    I pay about £1 a sheet for good quality watercolour paper. 
    I bet you cant wait to get started!😊

  • Just finished knitting Bobblehats for my 2 grandchildren who are flying back to the U.K in a week, their gonna need them as their home has been Florida for the last 6 years , So I need another pastime , got some pebbles around our pond so could rescue some tomorrow. Materials needed please ? Not sure on the paint Acrylics ? and a pair of tweezers .
