Thanks @coccinella. I've never done anything that colourful and it needed 8 different fabrics for each of the 12 wedges - bit of a puzzler to say the least - but I like it.

Yes, @SherwoodArrow, but this one is from a workshop lead by Hilde Hoogwaerts at the Amour du Fil expo at Nantes last April. She was adapting, with permission, a process developed by Ricky Tims.
I'll do another in batiks as it will be simpler to match the patterns for the mirror effect.

Thanks @NormandyLiz. It's not very difficult to construct as long as you follow a sensible order and could probably be done with paper piecing which I shall try with the batiks.
The hard part was cutting all the different bits to mirror each other and match up - what the Franch call a "casse-tête". I have lots of pieces of African fabric with holes where I've cut just the bits I needed. Now to find something to do with what's left.

I didn’t mean to detract from your or the designers work @Obelixx it’s amazing and very well done (I even showed my mum who does EPP). I was simply recommending a fabric and patchwork designer that you may or may not like. I look forward to seeing your next project ☺.
I didn't take it the wrong way at all @SherwoodArrow. I know of KF for knitting (which I don't do) and tapestry but not for fabrics and here in France finding named designer fabrics can be a challenge. I shall, however, investigate.

I think this is my last bird one,it's only 12"X 16" Plus I've had a go at something very different for me,my first attempt at a stuffed bear. He's only 9" tall so very fiddly all done in 4 ply,it's taken me longer than knitting a jumper for myself!🙄 If anyone has any tips I would appreciate it as I know his face is crooked.
