It's not complicated Pat. As long as you can drive a rotary cutter and use a patchwork ruler the seams join up with little bother. Another tip is to iron the seam margins the right way round so the joins line up more easily.
Starting with a block made from 5" or 6" squares, cut 1" eache side of the central seams.
Turn round the 4 central bars and re-sew, pressing each seam as you go.

Well, I grew those birdhouse gourds in my Greenhouse last summer and just a few days ago I cut them down from my basement joists and actually cleaned and painted several. I'll show you the best three, the ones I painted after my artistic abilities went down the toilet I will never show.
Finishing off some Christmas cards that my friend Keith and i from last year, didn't get round to doing them until now.
He prints them out and buys all of the craft things and i put them together. I only used to cut all the pictures and the decupage but because of his ms I've been doing it but i don't mind. Don't know if the glitter shows up on here.
This is the insert and verse that Keith does and I stick them in.
I put the gold bits on around the edges with peel offs.

As requested. This one's too small for me. This one was trickier than the green one, because I had to knit the plant in a different colour.
