As yours get longer, the days get shorter here. The nights are drawing in and summer hasn't started yet!

Morning all. Thanks for the support; honestly it horrifies me that it's not just my mother out there just has no concept of dignity - surely as a new mum you're allowed to carry the "baby weight" as long as you want. But at 8 weeks all I'd be concerned about is whether mother and child are clean, fed, and rested!

Wonky; thank you for the offer of sharing Mother Dove! :)

I'm afraid I went to bed at 20:00 last night I felt so drained even moving my arms felt an effort. I am taking a fire engine to a SEN school today for fun and trying on uniforms so really need to be on top form. (Day off tomorrow though). Missed the moon; hoping the BBC will have pictures!

Incase I forget HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT for when it happens! (still the 21st here).

Morning all /afties Pat. I'll say Happy Birthday now in case I miss it when it arrives! image

Stay warm and eat cake is always a good mottoimage

I saw the moon last night just before I went to bed and thought it looked so pretty that I'd take a photo - and then I didn't.  Regretted it when I heard on  the news earlier that it was a strawberry moon (as Joyce said) and it's the first time it's coincided with the solstice sine 1967.  image

My mind was taken up with the k**b across the back from me who'd been faffing with one of his clapped out cars since I got back from work at 5 and was still there at half 9. Engine revving etc. He was still out there at 10 with a light on messing about with it. image

A well aimed, lit match would solve that quite easily....image

Hope today is better for you Clari. What's that saying about 'a trouble shared' ? image

Would you like a note to get you out of swimming Wonks? image

Off to t'mill soon - have a good day everyone .

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Good Morning,

afternoon Pat, glad you had  a good trip to Canberra and hubby got on ok, sounds chilly? Don't forget to go on the Birthday thread tomorrowimage

Clari, I loved my mum but she could be very sharp with me, there were 4 of us and I was the one who did the most for her. Even my siblings would be shocked at what she said to me. The lesson I learnt was never ever to be that kind of mum. After she died I was astounded that I was left all the "best" bits. Just be yourself, and remember you are a grown woman now and make your own decisionsimage

Wonky, that's a shame, feel better soon

off to make sure garden tidy, photographer arrives for preview this morning

dil and wee poppet arrive today, the fun starts!

can you believe the Senate has not tightened the gun laws post Florida?!?!

    have a good day

It's fine and dry here with spells of sunshine, so this morning I will be playing in the garden.  After lunch we'll be going to the British Art Show - great excitement as this year it's here in Norwich image
