Glad you're home safe Dove and have had a good time.

Chicky - I think Monty has help and probably does take all day, or a large part of it, to do pots but it gets edited out for a 30 minute programme - not sexy to see him emptying and cleaning pots and then fetching crocks and compost and the new plants.

Don't do jigs but we do an Irish Lord of the Dance line dance and some that are a bit more jiggy and a Greek one that requires a few knee flexes and ballroom tango is all done with flexed knees for good posture so yes Hosta, try dance classes.   We have members with new hips, new knees, new shoulders, a prosthetic foot......tho he doesn't do jive.   I have new feet but that's reconstruction, not spare parts.

For the book sale today we took boxes of old books.   Found one which also had old games - jigsaws, dominoes, Chinese chess, draughts, magnetic travel scrabble and, from my dim and distant youf, a leather pouch of Jacks.   I used to be very good at those but can't remember how to play.   Possum now 21 and a late baby - is bemused.   Anyone else remember Jacks?

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Oh yes - I remember jacksimage. Something about throwing the little ball in the air and then picking up the jacks before you catch the ball again .......hours of funimage. You can tell I was raised in the days before Nintendo .....and still only 27 at thatimage

I love this time of year!

The flowers are ready for cutting or photographing and the fruit/veg is ready for picking. I had my first wild strawberry of the year for a (very) light snack!

I know Dove has had her beans, has anyone else enjoyed a harvest?

Had asparagus, Emma, but nowt else yet.  Unless you count mint, chives, sage and rosemary.  But there are new flowers appearing every day, which is unbelievably excitingimage.   No wonder they say gardening is good for you - can't believe other people miss out on such an exuberant time of yearimage

Not dieting, no. They were just a surprise so I had no time to buy some cream!

We are eating lettuces and broad beans from the garden.

Had lots of strawberries today, but not home grown, Strawberry Tea ones.

I'm not dieting either, Obelixx.  First ripe one from the garden.
