There are so many posts that I've probably got them muddled.
Sympathies to all who have had their cars damaged by idiots. My only experience was hitting a big kangaroo which suddenly appeared in the long grass beside the road and panicked and leapt right into our car. Nasty because it wasn't dead and was making strange noises, hubby had to put it out of its misery by using a large tyre lever, because it had broken limbs and was in pain. My car needed panel beating and I had whip lash for ages afterwards. Not good memories. Since then I've kept a Stanley knife in the glove box - at least he could have cut its throat which seems less savage. Yuk!,
injuries from falls - I fell off a hard-to-see step onto a paved footpath and landed on both hands and knee. My wrists kept stinging, so I went to a health clinic and x-Ray's showed I'd broken the triquetral bone in BOTH wrists. I had plaster to elbows for weeks. I didn't enjoy that much, but Hubby quite enjoyed me with arms held high in plastic bags in the shower while he had the freedom to wash the rest of me. I still get the occasional crampy feeling in the middle finger sometimes, but luckily a physiotherapist showed me what to do for that and it goes away.
ok, enough miserable memories. It's 9am on the 1st of July here so I'd better keep an eye open for Dove's July thread about 4pm.
