    Morning all.

Been to stay with daughter to help clean her new house before they move in today. Haven't been here as her Internet was down. Then yesterday I was out all day with the Gardening Club visiting gardens in the Charente.

Come back to find poor pansyface has been banned. What on earth for? She wasn't a troublemaker, she had problems with her eyesight and didn't like the new forum site. I don't like it either and I don't even have eyesight problems. What are the GW team thinking of?

And, to cap it all, she has now found out she has cancer. If she or her OH sees this I would like to say I'm so sorry about it all and I hope the docs can do something and the GW team come to their senses. She could do with support at a time like this and we are all her friends.

Clari, Verdun said he was taking a break.

I hope Dove is enjoying her holiday.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning Lizzie. Yes, as you say, we don't know exactly what Pansyface is supposed to have done. Time will tell.

Hope daughters new house is looking good.image

    Hello all.

I was voluntarily not posting this weekend, but I have felt the need to post this.

Firstly best wishes to Pansyface, and her OH.

I hope this does not come over as to pathetic, or unseemly, because honestly I am not.

I do not have a lot of interaction with the real world, for reasons that I have probably bored you with enough. Therefore I am very dependent on my online existence via this site.

It has become a genuine life line to me, particularly when my OH is away, working long hours.

This w/e has really brought home, how much I value this site, and this post is a heart felt plea, that somehow we sort this all out, and return to the fun forum of old.

I am not as pathetic, as this may sound, I just value your company.

    Love and hugs.

How can you lie there and think of England

Puncdoc, Pansyface thanks everyone from the bottom of her heart for the solidarity they have shown over this stupid banning. She too found the forum to be a wonderful door to the outside world as she doesn't drive and doesn't go out much.

She too would love the Moderators to explain what she said or what she did but there is just a stony silence to our requests by emails and by open letter written by me on the forum  (deleted).

She can't understand how barring her from access to the forum makes any sense when the thing that seemingly got her put onto the naughty step was complaining consistently that she couldn't have easy access the forum. Monty Python couldn't do better.

Once again, to all those who have expressed dismay, puzzlement, sadness, outrage and disgust thank you very very much. To those who reserve judgement, Saddam Hussain had no WMD and my wife doesn't either.

Pdoc, you really are not alone! I have very few friends in what we call "real life", as although I get on with people I meet, I get intimidated by large social groups, don't have much in common with city folk and as most people my age are wrapped up in their children's lives, that leaves the only friends I have as my husband, my mother and a few crusty old DJs from " back in the day"

I love and value them all, but I rely on all of you for my conversation and companionship.

I too disagree with Pansyfaces treatment as I have expressed on the progress thread. However much I understand people staying away in protest, I don't believe that Pansy, being the lovely person we know her to be, would want any of her friends to be lonely or feel isolated.

Love and best wishes to all our friends here, absent or present but very much REAL to me! X

Same here Punkdoc, as you probably read earlier, I've really felt alone today. I really need the interaction. I can't see how NOT posting will help, especially on the weekend.  And please, everyone, don't judge me in any way that you don't agree with. Each to his own.

Mr Muscle, you are truly a hero for standing by your lovely lady and keeping us updated, not that there has been any new info.

Please pass on a massive womble hug to Pansy! In my opinion, making the site accessible to all was the aim of the revamp. I would have thought that issues that concern the visually impaired  would usually be a high priority. Maybe it was the tone of the feedback that was deemed " disruptive" .....although I can't see how! But I believe that Pansy's difficulties with accessing a valuable life line to her at this horrible time for her must have been both frustrating and upsetting.

This has been handled very immaturely, I am so disappointed. Please send our positive thoughts, prayers, best wishes and hugs to the lovely Panseyface x

  • Wonkey, Punckdock....although I don't feel the same dependence on the forum, I do empathise and if you're feeling lonely I think you should release yourself from this ban.......I'm sure pansy knows of your support and would understand.
