Evening all,  Had a busy day today.  Secondborn popped over with Jonah, she had some errands to run so I had him all to myself for a few hours.  image  Talking about unkind comments, she's had quite a few from her future Mother in Law about her weight, the baby is only 8 weeks old image.  She wants to be careful, I know my offspring, and she might just get her answer if she carries on.

RB hope your bird has escaped or is he/she setting up home.

DD Sorry to hear about your problems, but you are a strong person and I'm sure you and Charlie will be OK.

Fairy, Slumber party? must have missed something.  Will a midnight feast be on the agenda?

Did a bit of weeding and tidying this afternoon.  It's lovely and sunny here but we have had a lot of rain over the last few days and everywhere is very soggy.

We went to the antiques quarter of Norwich today, 2 huge places selling loads of things. I bought 7 Willow pattern bowls for a pound each and 2 framed prints, 8 pounds each. We stopped to look round a small town on the way home and had tea in a tea shop.

Was shocked by the behavior of Clari and obelixx's mothers. I was lucky with mine.

sleep well in your new bedroom fairy girl.

Yvie, perhaps your daughter's future DIL is feeling jealous, and feels she is being replaced in her son's affections.  It's no excuse for behaving like she did though...  image

Clari, no excuse for your mum either.  Hugs to you xx

Fairy, it seems as if the longer the race, the more likely women are to do as well as men.  My son-in-law has started running ultra marathons and regularly gets beaten by small, wiry women.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Woken by a rising Sun. I see bits of blue sky through the curtains. My druid ancestors must be calling me for the summer solstice. I am hoping for a dry day, and hope to get more plants in, after I have dug weeds out.

Yesterday it rained for most of the day here. I ended up stripping and remaking the bed, washing and drying sheets, and washing the kitchen floor. Quite enough h@@$&work for one week.

Good morning Fidget and the rest of you as you arriveimage  A fine morning here with patches of blue. I've been for a wander around the garden but now I've come back to bed with my coffee.

    Did anyone see the full

moon last night ? Absolutely beautiful. It would've been wonderful at Stonehenge - hope the sky was clear there too.

Good morning everyone. We're back from our Canberra trip (exhausted now). Hubbys eye appointment went well and our daughter laid out a lovely spread of various cold meats and salad for lunch. It was also a sort of birthday lunch for me which will be on 22nd (tomorrow, for you late arrivals).image

Hubby gave me a surprise early present - an iPhone because he wanted to go to the Telstra shop in Canberra to swap my old mobile phone over. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the gadgets and buttons, but give me time. image

We have snow predicted down to 800 metres and it's really, really cold outside , so it looks as though the winter solstice is going to meet expectations for my 76th.  Brrrrrr. My mum used to say that at least after my birthday the days got longer!   It might not affect us because we probably won't be leaping out of bed early tomorrow if it's that cold.

have a good day alL. Will read back later.
