Evening all. I'm not political - but the news today has really got to me. What the **** is wrong with the world? After last week's slaughter in Orlando, I'm starting to think the planet's going to self destruct.

And those cretins ( I can't call them football fans ) in France can't even behave themselves when they're in another country to watch some sport.  They're an utter disgrace. Shame on them.

     Hear! Hear!

Truly dreadful news from Yorkshire - doesn't matter what your political persuasion is - hard not to be shocked & upset by this.

As for the other - disgusting yobs.......

The world seems in pretty bad shape tonight, so much anger. I for one don't want these footballer hooligans back in this country! As for that poor girl in Yorkshire, words fail me....

thank you all for your kind words re my friend. The support on this forum is amazing. I hope I give as much as I take! Dew drop, thank you.  I may just call them, up to now I have coped but now am at a loss as to what to say.  My friend has her mobile and is calling me.

so, it's a gardening day for me tomorrow and let's hope for some sunshine! Got to get the garden into shape for the photo shoot in a couple of weeks!

    Morning allimage   Afternoon Patimage

Can't come to grips with the hatred, senseless killings and football violence of this week.

These dark events are in total contrast to the beauty and tranquillity  of the gardens visited by BL and Yvie and, of course, our own havens of peace.

Good morning all when you wake.

Dove, my Mother used to say it was God moving his furniture around up there when there was a thunderstorm. I wonder who the first person was who said it. Her mother was born in Australia, so the saying must go back a few generations.

Our son and his remaining cat are down for a visit. The cat is much more vocal and affectionate without the competition of her daughter. Interesting. She's a lovely little tortoishell.

have been to Dr this morning and she's pleased with all the tests. just one more blood test to go.

    Morning all/afties Pat.

Joyce - I've just been looking at Yvie and BL's photos while listening to, and watching Neil Kinnock crying on the BBC breakfast news. I think that highlights your earlier comment.

Better day here today, hopefully a little warmer- it wouldn't be hard. It only reached 12 degrees yesterday. Barely into double figures when I went to work too  image

    Hosta - I have a spare shovel...but you're too far away for a quick visit...image

Carpet fitter coming later so I may be able to move into my new bedroom. I'd have to sleep on the floor though....image

Off for another look round here before I go to work, and earn a few shekels to pay for it all.

Have a good day everyone image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Morning all.

Not much to say other than I'm still in shock & feeling a little bemused by the events of the last few days & I'm also starting to worry about the results of the referendum. Will spend today potting up the bits my friend gave me yesterday & try to get on top of a few household chores.

Hope you can get something to ease your throat Dove - sounds as though you have an infection.

Good morning all.  It's misty drizzle today, summer hasn't started in bucks yet! Heavy rain showers every day! Perfect gardening weather though which is why I have aches on top of aches!

Morning all, just popped in to say hello. Weather a bit damp first thing but didn't stop us. Rallied the troops at 3.30 am to give the ladies time to prepare before we left. Woke one of the god daughters..... didn't know she knew all those bad words, takes after here father obviously. Bacon buttys and then off to see the horses coming back before going to watch the casting. Then back home to let the ladies get ready for the ball.....think us chaps may stay out for a little bit longer.  will see if i can get one of the young uns to post some pictures later.
