Oh my! Was he cooking the Christmas meal PP? Perhaps she had her concerns.

  • Evening everyone, how fast do the pages fill up on this thread! Another long shift today for me, so it's taken me a while to read and catch up - apologies if I miss anyone!

I'm sorry to hear about your friends Busy Lizzie, I hope the service went well.

Pat, so sad to lose a family pet. I can't imagine life without my dog. I'm in awe of your artistic ability too, your pictures are fabulous.

Linda, I'm so glad your husband is home and on the mend. The though of him striding through the car park in pyjamas made me smile ( it happens all the time though, so I'm sure no one thought anything of it image).

Liri, well done on your win, I'm green with envy as they send me brochures through and I drool over them, fantasising over what I could grow over their obelisks. I'm considering trying to grow a clematis over one, though mine will probably not be from Harrods,

The paint stories have made me laugh too, especially the shiny white dog and black fluffy skirting board - I've had that too image

Please can someone elighten me about the 27 years thing? Is it a gang who've been around for 27 years or a gang on 27 year old gardeners?

Everyone seems to have been enjoying the sunny weather today, I don't envy you meadowhell on a day like today though Clary.

I arrived home to find OH has finished the new patio image, so I plan to spend my day off tomorrow (which is also forecast to be lovely), walking the dog through the woods before tidying up and planning new beds and planting. Looking forward to visiting Harlow Carr's first flower show on Friday - I'm sure I'll find something to empty my purse on image

    Good morning, image

Two of the grumpiest guests ever have just left, struggled to even get a bonjour out of them and even when Charlie came to say hello, which usually gets a smile out of most people we just got a grunt. They were 2 workmen so perhaps they were unhappy to be away from home. They didn't talk to each other either so that made me feel a bit better - and they paid the bill so I can't complain really, just very unusual. image

New patio sounds good Sunshine and I am glad to hear your OH is home Linda, image

More gardening all day today for me although a bit of rain forecast this morning, I'm going to use that window to get a Boeuf Bourgignon in the slow cooker ready for tonight.

Have a good day all. image

Good morning DD and Clari and all those to come.  HI Patimage.

DD your guests sound like the kind of people who are permanently grumpy so I think you should be pleased that you have spared their families from them, even if for a short timeimageimage.

Linda I hooe you and your OH had a good nights sleep.  Good to have him homeimage.

PP I had to laugh because you reminded me that my Mum has bought my Dad pj's etc for different birthdays/Christmases just in case he needed to go to hospital.  What are they likeimage  Mind you they have been used thereimage.

I was up for a hot drink around 3am and it was very misty but the sun is shining again nowimage.  Have a good day everyone.

Smiler ......we are all 27 years old (or thereaboutsimage) on here ......hence the numerous references to the famous number.

DD - we need pics as your garden reaches its open day crescendoimage

Glad Mr Linda is back home, and they seem to have a way forward for him - hope the cardiologist appt  puts your minds at rest.

Glad to see Mr Sunshine is putting in another appearance ......weird to think that last week we had the heating on, and I was wearing jumpers, scarves and winter bootsimageimage

Morning all /afties Pat if you're there image

Scorchio here again but they're promising some heavy showers and thunder etc. so hopefully it will happen and save me some watering. Surely it has to go back to normal soon here  - too hot for me if it  even gets to 20 degrees.  I know Hosta....I know...image image

Glad you got hubby home Linda. Always better image

As long as they paid DD...  image

I fully intend to be 27 again this year chicky. image

That's true Smiler - no-one on here has ever questioned that I'm 27 even though my sons are 35 and nearly 32image.  How's your Dad doing chicky?
