Far too hot to garden, but a lovely day for sitting and looking.

How can you lie there and think of England

Hazel, if there were no leaves on your fritillary I'd guess the beetle had already produced its nasty slimy offspring... I don't know where they pupate, but it might be in the soil under your fritillary.  image

Well well WELL!  image  Wonders will never cease.  image image  Got an email this morning from Sheena at Harrod Horticultural.  When I was at Chelsea I entered a prize draw at the Harrod Horticultural stall, and guess what?  I've won a set of 3 "trumpet plant supports", retailing at £132.30!!!!  (Forgive my enthusiasm but I've never won anything in my life before...  image)

It's hot Hot HOT.  Waiting for it to cool down a bit before watering the wilting veg.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Evening All,

Quick pop in to say hello, been gardening all day and feel a bit better about it all, a friend dropped by and said I was fretting over nothing but now I am worried no-one will come. What I am I like? image

Villaverde, I hope your Open Day goes well too. image

Lizzie looking forward to Saturday, I do hope these storms go away, although it's been that hot today the garden needs a water, just a gentle bit overnight will be fine -  please. image

Congrats Liri, Harrods stuff is lovely but expensive so I'm sure you will be pleased with them.

Hi RB thanks for asking about grandaughter she is fine, just waiting to hear when she has to have the second op for removing the wires.

    Ooh, congratulations Liri, fantastic. image

My son entered a competition in the boulangerie the other day for a Renault Clio, every morning he asks if they have delivered it yet? Don't want to dishearten him and say how many other entries there might be, after all someone has to win it, why not him? image Now, really must put the laptop away. image

    Well done Liri.

Been warm today, could have worn a summer dress, but I've been wearing gardening jeans.

The electrician came and found a burnt phone wire, so he won't need to replace the lot, he's replaced that bit of wire and there will be some other bits and pieces eg sockets to change. The kitchen phone works image

    Have finished planting my pots.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
