Hosta; was it good quality sleep??

Chicky: it's grandparents diamond wedding anniversary and a weekend of celebrating. All the family are going to a garden party on the Sunday so I hope this rain does its job of making everything look it's best.

I can't think of what to get them though; it has to be linked to diamonds AND funny. Unfortunately I blurted out Diamond dishwasher tablets so his lordships mother has stolen that idea.

    Any suggestions?

    Morning all!  Hi Pat.

Glad you're feeling more relaxed today, DD - a bit of "me time" called for now, I think.

Clari, I'm bemused by your "days off" - do you ever stop??

Great sleep, Hosta!  What's the secret?

Hope you feel better soon, Dove.  Different germs when you go away on holiday, I guess.

Fairy, Chicky, Bushman and anyone else I've missed - have a good day!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Oooh Pauper I like your style!! I've just brought an ice cube tray that makes diamond shaped ice cubes that I'll sneak in the freezer somehow for drinks at the garden party.

Morning all. I slept well, didn't even hear OH getting up to let Tigger out.

Must freeze the broad beans today, make up housesitter's bed and pack. Hope we fly tomorrow, despite the French strike.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Train strike today so no people watching.  OH drove Possum to Namur for her Dutch exam and is parked on the citadel with views of the Meuse valley - very fuzzy in heavy rain - reading his book.  He'll fetch me some expectorant on the way home as my chest is still very tight too.

Discovered on the tube when in London that people watching on trains is no fun anymore.  They all have their heads down in mobile devices.  Lots of gardens and a few allotments between west Ealing and the first tunnels though.

Paperwork and patchwork homework today.  Much too wet for gardening.

I hope you get your flights OK Busy.   Pat E - I shall go and investigate your new crafty thread.

Just popped in for a cuppa.

Sleep WAS good sleep which was a nice change.I have no idea why though.

I was chatting to " the hypno guy" last week and one of the reasons I'm going to give it a break ( maybe just for a while ) is that seeing him is another sleep pressure. I feel I have to sleep well so I can tell him so.  He did concede that sleep / eating issues are trickier to resolve than , say, giving up smoking, or drinking.

" you have to eat, you have to sleep. Nobody HAS to smoke, or drink" I see the rationale.

One day at a time .

Right, drizzle now, so into the tunnels for me.

    Catch you later.

    Devon.
