Morning all - beautiful pix Pat - you have a real talent
I'm going to type in bold from now on until the 'issue' is resolved, so that pansy and anyone else with difficulty can read my posts, although I expect some of you would rather not see them
Glad you're not affected by the flooding BL - these lightning/thunder storms don't seem to be shifting
That's a great achievement lily. You must be very proud of him
Don't envy you one bit Clari....you deserve a medal....
Trying to catch up with everything, but I left at 7.30 and wasn't home till 8pm yesterday. A bit of a schlepp, and not a hill I'd do again, but I'll have to do the neighbouring one from the other end as I was too knackered to carry on to it. I shouldn't say it, but it's too ruddy hot on the hills! It got very humid when some 'low'ring clouds' rolled in.
I think I'll send this sunny weather back to you all 'darn sarf'. We need our rain back....
Washing to go out and lots of jobs to tackle - got my tomatoes in their final home on Friday and they look quite happy. Think I need a decent sized growhouse of some kind. Don't want a proper greenhouse as such - not enough room. Might have to construct something...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
MAHOOSIVE CYCLE RIDE LILY-SON .....WELL DONE TO HIM.....AT LEAST THE ACHES WILL BE RIGHTEOUS ONES
BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE TODAY TOO - NEED A TRIP TO THE GC FOR COMPOST, GET MY SWEETPEAS IN THE GROUND, AND THEN SIT AROUND IN THE SUN WATCHING EVERYTHING GROW LUVERRRLY
AND A BIG HURRAH FOR MY FIRST TREE PEONY FLOWER .....ITS BEEN A LONG (5 Year) WAIT
Nice to be back - missed the chat and banter yesterday. I think typing in bold is an excellent short term fix for those with sight issues. I think Pansy said she didn't need things to be in Caps - just the thicker text is enough to enable her to see better. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Lovely paintings Pat - a real talent there.
Wonks - your food always sounds great - obviously take after your mother.
Art galleries and lunch out sounds like a good time - not sure about sleeping with firefighters..... (Actually I am - but best leave that for elsewhere... )
Stonking day out there. Got quite a bit done yesterday (probably 'cos I wasn't fiddling around on here ) so today I shall finish my pots, do a bit more border planting, start taking out some spring stuff which has gone over and at lunch time I will try and STOP and enjoy lazing for the rest of the afternoon.
Have a great day one and all.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
We are having a quiet day, or should I say Mr. KEF is !
He decided to fall off the step ladder yesterday, no real damage done, cut on the head, no concussion just blood and some hair pulled out, a scrapped arm and to his dismay a scratch down his face. I've told him I like the rugged look After I tended his wounds he was sent to bed without any curry and only drinks of water, I diagnosed shock. He is fine this morning and has scoffed a bacon butty.
BFN I'd better make sure he isn't back up the ladder
Morning Chicky, morning Fairy, shorts weather here! Second coffee in, doing the planning bit of my alterations, honest
I will post a view from my kitchen window so you can all join me and help plan
If you are wondering what the attractive white bucket of dried grass is, its where Flatters curls up and dozes when he comes calling for me, so vital!
The trouble is that the neighbours kitchen window is directly above ours, which means we are overlooked in the garden, we can hide round the corner but I was thinking of making another bed at the end of the patio ( aka concrete slug house ) and putting some climbers on trellis, or some grasses or a tree or great big wall.....like I say, still drinking coffee...I mean planning!
Pat your paintings are beautiful. What an eye for detail you have. Glad that you have got some rain at last but it never knows when to stop.
Fairy, don't go giving our sunshine away. You'll never get your washing dry. We'll keep it during the day and it can rain at night. Sorted. I've never watered the garden as much as I have in the last week.
Lovely tree peony chicky. Wonky, enjoy the garden. your food does sound really lovely.
Lily, well done to your son. I was wondering whether it's his legs or his 'seat' that will be the most sore.
