Hi Hosta. Yes, everyone thinks Australia is always beach weather, but it's not so. (Also, we don't have crockadiles and kangaroos moving throu out cities.) Good luck with the water lilies. Do you have any Nelumbo Plants?
Morning all from my wonderful camp bed in the classroom. I'm being stared at by eight firefighters; thank goodness they're paintings!
Hosta: what a shame you struggle with photos now. For me uploading has never been better!
Just waiting for the day shift to arrive and then I get to go home.
To prove a point my friend with her very newborn posted just now that they managed four hours sleep. I managed 4.5! So I definitely do sleep better than a mother!
You made me laugh Clari. Hubby now wants to know what was so hilarious. He's busy in the kitchen making more (non-diabetic friendly) biscuits. They're a bit hard to resist.
Hosta, I'm not surprised about the Nelumbos. I had them in Darwin and also in Melbourne, but they were touch and go in Melbourne. One of my fellow botanical artist students in Melbourne painted one - it was gorgeous. Common name is Sacred Lotus. They eat the bulbs as well in SE Asia.
I use a laptop and I don't care for the new site, but photos are the one thing I find better, the downloading of. But I wish you could enlarge them like before.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I thought it might be interesting to photograph the raindrops on the window between the veranda and lounge room.
its a bit different to the one last week with the afternoon sun hitting the range acropass the valley.
Morning all.
Hi Pat, seems funny hearing you talk about rain and cold.
A day at the coal face for me today and Hubby off "up country" for the first time this season.
Cloudy here this morning , but very mild. I've just been out to see how the water lilies have settled overnight.
