These seems to be an aversion to certain stores watering their plants on display.. When I asked one store, they said it was a Health & Safety issue that if they watered then people might slip on the wet surface.. They never heard of Misting!!!!
I bought boxes of raspberry Tay Berry and even Blueberries from Pound shops but only got a couple of the Raspberry canes to take. The rest were too far gone... I avoid buying plants there now but they are good for other gardening supplies, just deadly to plantlife..
Oooh, thanks for the tip. I've got a free day this Sunday, so will go along. I'm going to have a big new flowerbed to fill, and I'm happy to use it to try and nurse a few casualties back to health!
Thank you, picked up some nice pinks for 50p at homebase last week, might have to squeeze a visit in again in a few days- lots of them have closed around us though, so not as convenient as it used to be.

Just back from Wyevale Shenstone, they had trolley after trolley of reduced plants.
I picked all these up for £13.50!
Great bargains aym! The diy stores are great for reductions, aren't they.

Yep Home Bargain is good and for garden tools saw some nice short handled loppers for about 6 quid... You have to shop around..

Picked these up for £10. The Rosemary was half price at £5, the cordyline £2, Elijah Blue £2 and the penstemon down to £1.
The Cordyline looks a bit sorry for itself, but I thought it was worth a go.
Nice haul there dew drops
I love it when they reduce those mixed trays with the handle down to a couple of quid in B&Q.
I do a bit of switching about to get all the best specimens in the tray I take to the till
Bit cheeky ?
Ah, who cares?
Thanks both! They are going to go in the new flowerbeds, hoping I can make a start asap and find some more bargains.
