    So faithful ,aren't they.?

Berry keeps playing barely up more since Bracken has gone. I have to stop them after a while because barely is hurting him. But it could be worse.image

Our soppy lump has finally overcome his fears of kittens and spent yesterday playing in the garden with Cosmos.  Here he is this morning with both.

Rasta is now displaying jealousy so lots of cuddles and play needed all round.

Our border collie Luna, is terrified of the vacuum cleaner, and hairdryer, Hubby is decorating spare bedroom, yet, she doesnt mind the sander which is much louder.  Today, I quickly vacced round while he waited in the car to take them to the beach.  When we lost our Merl (blue border collie) 8 years ago, Leo our toy (phalene) wouldnt sleep downstairs with Holly (last border collie) but he didnt tell me. I worked nights, and my first night off, in bed tells me rather sheepishly, Leo wont stay downstairs, now sleeps on the bed, fair enough I though, UNTIL I was woken at 2am, by Leo sitting on my chest "talking" to me, they have a dog flap downstairs, butI have to get up let him out for a pee wait ,close the door and take him back to bed.  So, when we moved here, he wasnt staying in the conservatory, nor was Holly, she broke down the puppy gate, and slept on the lounge floor, she was damaging the door frame, so we let her, and Leo, graduated to our bed.  He has his own, by ours, sometimes he sleeps it in, sometimes, Luna does, last night they both desided OUR bed was best!

Can't get this out of my mind. I was walking to Chancery Lane tube station on Monday having just been to a meeting when i spotted a man begging with a tiny kitten on his lap. The kitten was panting - he was sitting in direct sunlight.

I asked the man if the kitten was ok and he said it was fine but I could see it wasn't. He said he had bought it for his girlfriend but she had chucked them both out.   I gave the man a couple of quid, some water and then ran to sainsburys and bought some cat food (they didn't have any kitten food). When I got back to the man he had put the kitten in a cat carry case. I gave it some food and the man asked me to wait with it while he went to Starbucks.

i thoroughly regret not asking the man if I could take the kitten and look after it. I just can't help but think that's no life for a tiny kitten.

I think I'm going to go back tomorrow and see if the man is there - perhaps it's his regular spot. If he is there I might offer him some money to hand the kitten over. I'm worried though that he'd just by another to beg with.

what has this world come to...it's so sad. I feel so mean that the man might love the kitten but I just keep thinking about it and feel I could have been its chance ?

Tootles, I'd go back and see if he's still there. Maybe you could find a home for the kitten.

Went back to Chanery Lane yesterday and spent a couple of hours looking for the man but no sign. Have left my details with a few people in shops around to call if they see him. A lady with a food stall said she had seen him there a few times with cats and dogs but she wasn't sure if they were different animals each time.

i commute to London from Notts and am not back down there until Monday. Didn't get much sleep last night for thinking about the kitten. I could kick myself for not just taking it - which I know is wrong but can't help it.

Will be back down on Monday and at Chancery Lane as I have the same meeting every week so hoping he's there.

Scroggin, yes it does. Floss looks very comfortable. Our's are the same.image

Tootles i hope you find him. But by the sound of it he does it all the time. Maybe you should report him to the RSPCA. Treating animals in that way is wrong.image
