Course its OK herbaceous, its Pet Companions, not pets I own. My page started at the bottom of the thread, and I thought, Oh, hello, someones has a pet fox! The dog is gorgeous, but you should change his name from Rocky to Foxy, he looks like a Fox.
Logan, dont paint your front door, a bad idea to do outside painting in this weather, autumn or spring, are the best times. Think laying a lawn/outside painting!
Thank you NannyB, and Rocky is a lovely companion! I don't think I would have much luck getting his name changed though, it is difficult to see from the photos but he is half the size of the fox and my son-in-law is 6 foot something, I think he felt better calling Rocky when they are out walking. Its a chap thing, the whole size issue, or so I am told
This picture might give a better idea of his size (and why he probably won't be arguing with Mr Fox)

Oooh, I dont know what you mean, chaps and the size thing!!!! We have a phalene, you ll probably have to look up a pic most people ask whats that. My 2nd Hubby was always,he would only have a border collie or Jack russell, on our 3rd border collie together, said he wouldnt be seen dead walking a toy, well, guess who sleeps inbetween us in bed! (and who holds his lead!)
You're right NannyB, I had to look it up! But so cute, like a very delicate and fluffy cavalier king charles. And I believe the reaction of your husband. Rocky is chihuahua/jack russell and when my daughter fell in love with him I think she was obliged to let her husband do the naming as he was in favour of a labrador! He seems to have got over it now, several years on and Rocky has him just where he wants him

Ahah, Luna my Border Collie also likes to shred paper, OH has hay fever, left a new pack of tissues out, she took them down the garden, but I rescued them, she only got one, we live in a bungalow, she got a new loo roll he other week, we have to try and remember to keep it on top of the towel rail out of her reach!
Logan, you said you put a chair on front of your painting, but you cant do that in a doorway,on on the stairs. I used to try painting late at night as well, in the hope it would be dry by morning. Yes, herbaceous, the Phalene is a cousin of the Papillon, and originally bred from the Cavalier,as a smaller size version. They have hair not fur, no undercoat or oil, so when they get wet, they look awful and take a month of Sundays to dry out.

If I paint a doorway I'd do one side first let it dry, then do the other. It's the only way.
I've been outside adding to my pot collection which is getting bigger by the day - not by your standards though
