I love kittens, (and cats) they have to be cute because they are soooh destructive. My Eldest Daughter (yes she lives in CATFORD) has 2 mow 2 years old, their Mum was a British Blue, one is a beautiful long haired ginger, the other tabby, have broken mirrors, clawed the leather sofa to shreds, get up on shelves knocking stuff over, torn down the wooden window blind, she lives in a Victorian ground floor flat, large original bay window, big and expensive!
Me again, who was it who did a poo on the path right by my washing line! OK OK, maybe I shouldnt have been wearing my new nordic slipper boots, but it was frosty, I couldnt bring myself to put on the hard, cold, plastic, open outdoor shoes, I only noticed it when I bent down to pick up washing basket, and yes, of course I HAD trodden in it!!!
Rasta doggy began her day with a roll in smelly poo. OH decided he didn't want to shower her so used half a pack of wet wipes to clean her up. Needs a chat about how unenvironmentally friendly they are.
Bonzo doggy has a dangerous tail but we've learned to keep ornaments and wine glasses and coffee cups out of range.
The Kitties have been remarkably trouble free apart from getting the demon version of cat flu as babies and now Cosmos with his poorly paw. A little bit of scratching of the sofa and a bit of cheese thievery but that's all.

I have just been reading about the perils of Christmas for cats - trees, decorations and toxic foliage etc. As I am thinking about how to prepare for the festivities now we have the two kittens - any tips?
We adopted two teeny kittens a year ago AR. Instead of our usual ceiling high jobby we just had a small tree they couldn't topple and put non breakable baubles round the lower layers. Never use tinsel as it's naff and a fire hasard and not good in feline or canine tums.
No other greenery apart from the house plants. Candles up out of kitten range.
This year will be different as they are bigger, bolder and heavier and haven't got cat flu............

Lovely Floss (I have a pet-crush on her).
My little boys aren't allowed out yet so they have to make their own fun... except everything I do they think it's a game or toy just for them!
