I lost my purse last year all my cards driving licence the lot, pretty much knew where I had left it, so then tried the garden, luckily it hadnt rained and there it was patio past the conservatory, bed each side of an arch, its very planted up, I could see the purse under rose bushes, magnolia.   I knitted a friend one of these big chunky footstool/pouffes very heavy duty cotton thread, massive needles, nearly killed me, the thread (yarn) is made from recycled t-shirts, every single time I left the room, I picked up the knitting put it on my hob at the back, BAR one time, then I saw the yarn going thru the lounge/kitchen out the dog flap, and yup, under said said rose bush, it had been raining, luckily, the yarn was dark grey,if it had been normal wool it would have been ruined, I managed to retreive it, and it wasnt even dirty, did see the funny side. Gosh, plant pauper you have a boot room, do you live in a stately home, we have a porch where the boots, and shoes go.Its a standing joke here, everything is covered in dog hair, you get something out of the freezer double wrapped it will be covered in dog hair!

HaHa NB. It's a wee side room just big enough to fit all the boots and dog clobber that isn't allowed any further into the house!!!

It doesn't work with the world's best worst retriever in residence!

Years ago my husband was painting the eaves of our old house. Yip! Dogs' hairs there too!

not to mention when you gloss paint anything, my last border collie would also manage to get it in her fur, and fur all over the paint, (we use water based these days!)

If we're painting I always put a chair in front of it.

Hoping it is OK to post on this brilliant thread if I am just dog sitter and not dog owner. I often look after my youngest daughter's dog as he isn't good on his own (she usually takes him to work but that is not always practical) and loves my garden!

Occasionally he gets a treat which he promptly buries! If he forgets to retrieve it before he goes home it is usually stolen, when he returns he helps me dig my garden image and gets quite upset and perplexed. What he doesn't know...........

    or maybe he does!

We've got to paint the front door, it won't have enough time to dry in between walking the boys so I suggested it will have to be painted in the evening, but I don't really want to do that I would rather be watching the TV or a recording. But at the moment it's too hot to do anything.image

Pretty dog, Herbaceous. But is that the dog or is it a fox in the 2nd photo? It seems to have a white tip on its tail, which the dog hasn't.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Its a fox BL, regularly visits and is always happy to find Rocky's treats. Love having him but he (or his family/ancestors) can be annoying. I have a water bowl for the hedgehog which he visits as well, especially in weather like this, haven't managed a good picture yet as I generally just watch from a distance, not sure if you can see anything in this very bad pic.

That 2nd picture looks like a "treat stealer" to me. image That's so funny. The poor dog must think he's doting!

"I'm sure I left it here somewhere!!!"

My mum's neighbours give Hell's Nell treats (too many) all day and she buries some to bring in at bedtime and enjoy on the mat. She's so organised!

I've been giving Bran Glucosamine for a few days and she's taken to hopping and skipping and "charging" about! Well...as well as an old lady can!!! image

    Wren's helping as usual. image

He sure is PP, and a shoe chewer, bean digger upper, rubbish spreader...........

My daughter's outlaws are as undisciplined as your Mum's neighbours which is why poor Rocky comes to me when he is on a diet!

Good to hear your dog is lively, can I have some of that?
