Verdun, yes, I admit I like all colours indiscrimately when it comes to flowers, even pink - which is a colour I don't usually like. And I plant whatever flower I like in whatever place there is. It might be a wrong approach, but I prefer garden a bit wild.
Aym, I've been away from the site - apart from reading a few threads at the weekend. I was busy with work so I only had time to water the plants. I couldn't believe that some asters have started blooming and are looking quite well now after all the ss attacks. I even have time to check the dead trolley in B&Q now... I've got quite a nice Rudbeckia Gold Star.
Michael, I wish I knew what those blue flowers were. Some sort of bells? Those are perennials so they have been planted before I moved in. But good questio, can anyone help? I like their translucency in that picture.
I was so pleased with the few gazania that I grew from seed last year that I tried a few different packets of seed this year - they are stunning but need full sunshine to open up
Just come on, reading the comments re gazania, they are perennial here - I hardly lost any from last year's sowing even though they were left outside. The ones I lost were in shallow terracotta troughs so the roots were just 3 or 4 inches under.

I really like the Nerys aym. Very bold.
I like the blue Scabious, too.

They are lovely GD and you have the right climate for them.
