Change of plan ....its quite warm out here, so have decided today is a day for sitting in the garden rather than toiling in it. Rather pleased with my view:
Mr Cs constructing, so every now and then I am required to hold something or check a slide rule, but apart from that its going to be a lazy day
Afternoon all, and thanks for words of encouragement. Like you say Wonky, gardening is my therapy. I am much better than I was which is why I was so upset to have one, but hey ho, onwards and upwards as they say. My OH has been a solid rock for me to cling to in the darker times and has the patience of a saint . I don't venture out on my own much, but love to spend time in the garden, and he cooks dinner while I potter on, which I am now about to do... hanging baskets need sorting, a couple of boughs off the tree that drops its bits all over my runner beans and more digging to be done (I am determined that I will have less and less grass to cut and more and more flowers to plant). Hope everyone happy and healthy and hugs to those that aren't.
WW. No 1 grass looks like one Lyn gave me called Carex ice dance., No2 looks like Pampas grass. No idea on No 3.
Just popped in for a drink and a sit down. I've been clearing an areas which I've avoided tackling since we moved here. Ash stump , brambles, and masses of couch grass. I've filled the green bin up for the first time since we moved here. I daren't stick any of it in the compost bins.
Hubby working to-day and tomorrow. I'm working tommorrow. Bank Holiday anyone?
I've just picked the first of our over-wintered broad beans - we'll have them for supper with gammon, carrots, new potatoes and parsley sauce ............ hungry already!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove, I've been in the garden since I posted! With shorts on! its all been planted out now, a few things moved but think I'm happy with it....we will see if they are happy with where I've put them in time when you say near the waterbutt.... Well the waterbutt got moved due to no outside tap now.....and low rainfall, I've resorted to putting the waterbutt under the bathroom window and dangling the showerhose out WHERE THERES A WOMBLE THERES A WAY!!! I will take some pictures when I've tidied in the meantime I'm taking my Taramasalata and tzatziki and pitta bread over to Chickys house! Looks beautiful!
I started a "Chelsea photos 2016" thread this morning - please add, Chicky, Obelixx & anyone else who went. Will add more pics as & when, but I've got a lot of weeding to do...
