NO frost here but a cold northerly wind blasting my nether regions when I went to feed the birds and move some hosta pots from sunny front to shady rear of house.
Off to a meeting of dance club presidents this morning then gardening this pm.
Rasta doggy still limping for morning cuddles and sympathy but runs round the garden like a puppy when she thinks I'm not looking. Horrible dog!
Someone asked earlier on about Chelsea - I'm going on the Wednesday and dragging OH along on the grounds that he has to do it at least once in his life. After all I went with him to rugby internationals and golf club dinners.......Yawn. (dinners not rugby. Lots of lovely thighs to admire back then and some decent rugby too.)
After Chelsea we're off to see Hyde Hall and Beth Chatto and no doubt indulge in a bit of HRT (horticultural retail therapy).
Happy Saturday everyone. Hope all illnesses and injuries are getting better and you have a fine day for gardening.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
It does feel chilly but the lowest temp last night was 6..9C so not too bad
As we're planning to be away for a week in early June, I've not sown my runner beans yet.
What do you think? Shall I sow them in pots indoors next week, or just before we go away?
There won't be anyone doing any watering while we're away (toms etc will be potted on then left in shady spot in OH's studio with capillary mat type set up - we've done it before and they were fine)
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning - dry but chilly. OH got called in to work at 5.30 this morning - I went back to sleep
Lots of planting done the last few days - so I think I should spend the next 2 chilly days catching up with hwk .
Eurovision - I have not watched it since Abba won - except for the odd ironical look in. All the politics and the sheer number of countries entering (several of whom I'm not sure are actually in Europe) make it a definite 'Null pwunts" for me. We'll be catching up on last night's The Secret and Blue Eyes instead.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Lily the format still looks the same on my desktop.
Runny Don't think I've watched it since ABBA won. However I might give it a go if Dove is feeding us Also agree about the beans, do them just before the jollies.
Obelixx have a lovely time in U.K
Hope Chicky is having fun.
Panda maybe a new job as a wedding planner
Pat I hope HRH is still improving.
To all who haven't had a mention a big Hello
Better get my skates on, not to catch up with Fairy but to move some bricks from the side of the house. On Tuesday & Wednesday scaffolding goes up for the start of our new roof project OH needs to get the loft emptied..where the stuff is going is any ones guess.
Eurovision - at least all your comments made me laugh. hubby is the tragic and wouldn't miss it for anything. I go along with it because I cannot be bothered doing anything else. BUT, Dami is good. She won one of our singing contests here last year.

Can't post pics again
Have a good day everyone.

Format has changed again, I'm getting ads in between posts rather than at the side.
Can't stand Eurovision contest. I'm surprised it's still going.
Hopefully Fairy can RB

Yep, that's my instinct - sow just before going away.
Eurovision watching here is definitely done in a Post-modern ironic (ex art students) sort of way
