Best place for 'em though archie image  Cuppa and crime for me  - Wallander

Been out and cut the front grass and clipped the edges. All tidy now, although I'll need to reseed a couple of areas where the big bag of sand was. One of the polyanthus has seeded and there are now 5 little babies near the front gate. I'll relocate them and see what they turn out to be  image

That's fine Dove - it won't take you long to get here from Cornwall...honest...image

Eventually tamed the Rector. We are cut to shreds!

posting a short  video of walking into the garden and hearing a chap in the village playing his pipes the only way they should be Heard Outdoors!  The birds are too noisy but perhaps friends south of the border may enjoy

archie - I was coming back one day along the Loch Lomond road and there was a caravanning couple having a sit down in a layby. They had the loch behind them, along with a cracking view of Ben Lomond, but they were facing the traffic....image image

    Probably just as well LP...image

Gorgeous pic. Glad you got your rector tamed image

It's rained most of the day and we've been out most of the day. Visited a friend's garden, this morning, that she was opening like I did for Open Gardens eu, like the NGS. Then saw another eco garden and house built with straw bales and had it's own reed bed sewage system. Very pretty though with blue Nigella and red poppies.

Then we went to a choral festival, OH sang in one of the choirs, in South Dordogne. Came home, had pizza, watched the rest of the Hollow Crown, Richard III.

Glad you had a good time Obelixx, except for the traffic. Must go and look at the photos.

Your garden is really coming on Dove, lovely tree. I hope to be in tough when you get back. We are going to Norfolk on the 14th June and now the French have announced a General Strike on that day image

Crikey, Fairy's garden looks a real challenge!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Just finished a bottle of Prosecco in the summerhouse, very pleasant.

Have taken advice, and forwarded the PMs to Daniel. I was going to post them on here, but I thought with all the trouble that was caused, when I did that before, I had probably better not.

Just thinking, funny how I am looking forward to the BH. tomorrow, even though I am retired. What is that about then?

Hi Joyce. Yes I've been hibernating, minus 6.5 this morning and overcast day.image Not much use whingeing though.

I've finished off the hat for my friend's granddaughter.

Once again, it was a very strange pattern. Knitted on the diagonal then stitches picked up along the long edge, and ends  sewn up to shape it, then gathering up for top and make a Pom Pom. I haven't made one for years.image

we're about to go out the back to cut more firewood now, so I'll catch up later.

Good morning all :). No packing done yet but I have bought new knickers - lots ;-)

a few more garden jobs today, then packing tomorrow, resting Wednesday and setting off at the crack of dawn on Thursday. as I'm the driver we do the journey in two hour stints with stops for coffee croissants etc in between. It makes it quite a leisurely trip :-)

    Great knitting Pat :-)
