Hi Fidget. Yes these in-between seasons seem similar on both sides of the world. We're planning on lighting the fire (heater) today for the first time this year.
For some reason my typing has gone small. I'll have to ask Hubby to investigate it.
It's nearly 4 oclock and you are all having a Saturday sleep-in, it seems. Not that I blame you. I did as well.
After a cold start, it's been a lovely sunny day so I got a bit more cleaning up done in the veggie garden. I've still got plants to lift and then dig the beds over. The Broccolini are ready to go out.
The fire has been lit, so it's back to bringing wood in and cleaning the coals out time again.
Cool but fairly bright here this morning. I'm still in bed with my second coffee. OH has peddled off to work. We have a Eurovision Fest to plan for this evening. Apparently it has to involve Tortilla chips, dips and sausages amongst other goodies.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all. No sign of frost here when I was up earlier. Now snuck back to bed with his lordship (snoring away happily) and Reggie (also snoring away). At least I have my mug of tea for company.
At work all weekend; it's been desperately quiet recently I hope we get more visitors soon!
Lantana, I must admit I did wonder if you had an Australian connection when I first saw your name. We live on the Monaro (South of Canberra). You are no doubt aware that Lantana is a major pest in some areas of mid-northern NSW. I do like the lovely little flowers on though.
Dove, I hope your Eurovision groupies note that our Australian entry got through to the final. It'll be broadcast at 5am here tomorrow . Luckily, Hubby has the recorder set so we don't need to get up at that time.
Lesley, HRH is struggling. The antibiotics seen to be helping, but she is not up to her usual energy. I've to ring the Vet on Monday to give him a progress report. By the way, whoever it was that suggested puppy dentastix has been helpful. I couldn't find those, but found another type of soft stick for puppies, and offered her one when we got home yesterday and she wolfed it down. .
I meant to say yesterday that I found a new colouring book in the post office shop and it's done by Kew Gardens. I know Chicky likes to colour in, (and I know she is off enjoying Italy at the moment), but in case anyone else is interested, it's called "The Kew Gardens Exotic Plants Colouring Book". It's rather special. Very well done.

I've just woken up to find HRH has piddled through her knitted jacket and is wet through. Hubby informs me that we've had minus 3 this morning. Brrr!!
weve all gone back to bed. Haven't had time to read back yet. Still too sleepy.
Good Morning, Pat. A frost is forecast here too. Its dropped cold in the last few hours.

The typing reverted to normal size after I sent it!!? Never mind, it'll work itself out.
