Thanks Panda, as Fairy said it just reminds us of our own mortality sometimes and when it's unexpected it can make it harder to understand, however we have to look after those left behind and help them through what is a very difficult time.  Stunning morning, hope everyone is enjoying sunshine today.

Morning all, afternoon Pat, image pat I thought of you when watching Chelsea, there was an Australian lady that had knitted poppies for a display and had had thousands donated by knitters worldwide for a memorial of war dead, it looked incredible! Hope your friend feels better.

Busy day yesterday at work but managed to sneak in a visit to the train station to pick up stepwomble who is visiting after finishing her degree! YAY! A few days of home cooking and slobbing. Lamb kofta with tzatziki, new potatoes, asparagus and Hollandaise sauce was demolished last night and a lie in is being had currently! image

Well, I did consider wearing a fork in my buttonhole so you could try to spot me on TV, but decided it might be confiscated as an offensive weapon.  image  Off to catch my train...  image

Thanks folks for the good thoughts and wishes. Our friend is spending the night in hospital so that they can do more tests. We're not sure how the dog will go,tonight, because she apparently sleeps on his bed. We will lock her in the living room when we go to bed. There's a bowl of water and several soft doggie beds scattered around, and the fire (heater) will be on, so she'll be warm.  I'm rather expecting some barking or whining, but we'll see.   We're already feeling exhausted from the day's activities.

time to watch Britains Got Talent. There's a singer coming on who I'm not sure which sex he/she is, but singing Nessum Dorma, as usual.
