Hear Hear Obelixx. My mother is a rock chick who turned 80 in February. Clean bonkers! When my neice's friend apologised for the heavy music at said neice's 21st my mum looked at her pityingly and said "where do you think gets her taste in music?"
I've discovered how to find other threads this morning by browsing slowly through the various heading, yee hah! It's all so easy when you know how. I'm getting to like the new clean format (at least as it appears on my iPad). The little camera on the top right side makes things very easy, too. Much easier than that tiny tree which my finger often missed. Even the smileys are easier to select.
We've got gale force winds here again, but it's sunny at the moment. Not pleasant outside. I'm half expecting a branch to come flying at me from one of the Eucalyptus trees on the hill behind us.
I pulled all the climbing beans off the trellis yesterday, and planned to rip out the dead zucchinis, cucumbers, tomatoes etc today, but I'm not willing to spend time out there with that wind howling around me.
Just a quick pop in before I catch my train. Weather a bit grey this morning, but I think it'll get brighter as I go north and west. (Thanks for organising lovely weather for my trip, Fairy! Magic wand must have its advantages... )
Joyce, when you next pop in: there are folk on the island who "do plumbing", because it's expensive to get someone across from the mainland, but I fear we'll need a Proper Man from Oban.
See you at the weekend! Bye for now!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Good morning Liri and all to come G'day Pat Glad you're getting the hang of things I am too - it's just that the scrolling takes longer - but Daniel says he's getting them to fix that ...
13.4C here overnight and grey with a slight drizzle - good growing weather - we have an important meeting this morning so .............. onwards and upwards .................
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning early birds Have a good trip Liri - hope the plumbing gets sorted.
Interesting fact for you all .....this year at Chelsea the biggest exhibit in the floral marquee is being done by Bowden Hostas (after years and years of it being the Hillier display). They are theming it round a carriage from the Orient Express. Said carriage lives in Battersea, about a mile away from the Chelsea showground, however there are weight restrictions on the bridges across the Thames, so to get it there they have to go south to the M25, round to the M4, and back in to London that way .....its going to take 7 hours .......something to think about when the display gets featured on the tellybox
Have you heard about the massive wildlife at Lady Bowers? All started because of a disposable bbq
Rescuers are coming in from several counties and even volunyeers from mountain rescue have had to attend putting themselves at risk after one of the all terrain vehicles rolled trying to get to the location and a personal was injured.
I hope the person who decided it a good idea to not bring any common sense with them is feeling suitably guilty.

Hi Chicky
It may be just me but when I glimpse the Westwood advert in the corner of my eye I think of this
rather than lawnmowers .............. probably not what they're hoping for
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Clari
What a disaster! What total idiots they must've been - I hope they can be tracked down and taken to court.
