Haven't seen Verdun either doc. image

Horrible cold day here - it just scraped into double figures but it was already back down to 9 when I came home at 5pm. Think my sweet peas are scunnered  after growing to about 6" during the nice spell recently!

The rain might soften the concretey ground though. I'm not looking forward to shifting more of it....image

I've done that too. Hang them outside for a week and then bring them in and wash them again. Let nature do it.

Yvie Stevie, yes that was John Massey from Ashwoods.

He scrubbed up well, even if he did get a bit emotional.

Checking in again after Hyde Hall today.  Huge plot of land but still a fairly new RHS garden so lots "under development" or "coming soon".   The first thing we saw was a very entertaining gathering of the local walkers and trainers of Guide Dogs for the Blind puppies sat at on the terrace having coffee and tea.   After our own coffee and sandwiches we set off to explore the dry garden and the hill and the modern and cottage style country gardens and the rose borders and so on.

Took photos and smelled roses and made notes and discussed our own future plans.    Took just over 2 hours and then we were done so we headed off to Colchester and had a walk through Castle Park and then round the old town centre.   Just about to download the photos, have a shower and head out for dinner.

I have over 400 from Chelsea to sort out and  100 or so from Hyde Hall so a fest coming up for me.

So sorry you've had storm bovver Busy.  Hope it gets sorted soon.

We all use paper tissues here so I often have bits all over the kitchen when I sort out the washing.

It's been sunny today.  I may be a little bit pink after such a cold day at Chelsea yesterday.

Beth Chatto tomorrow and more sun if we're lucky.

    Hi folks,

I'm on windows 10 but can't find anything that will resize my photos when I right click.

Wonky I'll give it another try.  Daniel has helped me sort out the phone view that was appearing on my laptop.  I had to update firefox.
