Thanks for all the good suggestions for the poodle. She only has teeth on the lower jaw and has never eaten dry food since she came to us seven years ago - not that we haven't tried to tempt her with various ones including dentastix.  It's now nearly 7pm and she still hasn't had a drink or anything to eat today. She's on the chair beside me still.  I can only put in front of her bowls and try to interest her.

i might look into dog tooth brushes. I'll ask the Vet about how to help her teeth and gums when I take her back.  Regarding Hubby's knee, I can only hint and suggest. Stubborn!image

Since Eurovision was on at 5am this morning, Hubby recorded it and we've seen a bit of the first episode this afternoon. Will watch the rest later.

hope you all have a good day.

Morning all, justimage  Have been up a while, honestly.  Had a quick look round the garden everything seems to be looking good.  I think I have lots of Wisteria flowers this year, I am so excited after waiting 5 yearsimage.

Hope HRH picks up Pat.  Have a lovely day everyone, I'm off to see baby grandson soon for lots of cuddles.

Good afternoon all.  I have spent my morning taking Rasta for her hair cut.   She has the post-op limping for sympathy down to a fine art - until someone suggests walkies or throws a tennis ball for her to chase and kill.   Then everything functions normally.

Then I did the report for my garden group meeting yesterday - the biggest garden in teh group at 1 hectare (2.5 acres).   Photos here if you're interested - http://s211.photobucket.com/user/Obelixx_be/library/160510%20Fleurisart?sort=2&page=1 the garden is on heavy , acid clay except at the top which is quite sandy in pockets.  It is 10m higher at the top end than at the bottom.   The house sits on a middle level and the photos start from the terrace and then go up, along and back down again.   The garden is their retirement dream and they spend a great deal of time, thought and money on it.   Every time I go there's a new bed or a new feature.

OH wanted to go and buy chipped bark this morning for under our holly hedge so I went along to supervise and make sure he got me the right planting compost and soil conditioner and some lovely big pots as I have some hosts that need lifting and splitting if they're to have room to grow.   6 hardy geranium Cantabrigiensis Biokova and 5 lychnis arkwright Vesuvius leapt into my trolley.  These are 4" square pots sold at €2.95 each but reduced to €1.95 for 10 or more.

Fairly sunny and warm so I'm off to play with my plants.   I hope everyone's having a good day.  Hugs to all with people or pet worries.

That is a gorgeous garden, obelixx.

Been to the Doc this morning for more HRT pills, a check up and a look at my arthritis which is now waking me up in the night. Probably worse because of the frenzied weeding for my Open Day.

Then we went to the supermarket for supplies.

Beautiful setting for a lovely garden obelixx.

Enjoyable lunch with friends and sat out in hotel walled garden after. . . . we could all have nodded off in the heat but came back here for more coffee. Like Dove, having a "me" dayimage

Good to see you RB. I disable cookies regularly. I disabled an entire packet recently....imageimage

It's a hard life being a pensioner Dove image Glad you had a nice day.

I've done very little since coming home form work apart from watering a few bits and pieces and making dinner....and eating it.

Grass needs cutting again - I only did it on Friday. The warmth has made it take off.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Hi Pat

Sorry to hear of HRH tooth problem. If she will let you touch her mouth, a gentle rub with a strip of flannel or elastoplast wrapped around your finger will help. Dog toothpaste would be good, but if she doesn't like the flavour, plain water is better than nothing. My papillon girl had a similar problem, but eventually her teeth were so bad the vet took them out with pliers!

I missed most of today, went into hospital in the morning when it was wet and windy, and came out into warm sunshine. Hope y'all had better gardening luck image
