    Morning everyone.

Hugs for Kitty and Mynx and all those suffering with insomnia. I don't have insomnia but I do have a cat who likes to wake with the dawn and expects catering within an hour of waking...

Have just booked tickets for a Blues and Beer festival in a couple of weeks time. It's an outdoor event so fingers crossed for sunshine. Added bonus that it's within cycling distance so we can sample one or two local ales.  image

Off out to plant out some herbs then a trip to buy some pelargoniums for the front pots.

If anyone is struggling to sleep I can send you some of my snoozy yawns if they'll help. I'm overflowing with them! New medication seems to have turned me into some kind of monster burp machine (6 year old boys would crown me King of the burps with the noises I'm producing) but alas not helping with the fatigue.

Mind you that isn't stopping me looking at allotments... fortunately I can't find who owns our local ones!

You're getting off lightly on Sunday RBimage

My friend was here this afternoon and wondered if it's safe to mix left over flower seeds with bird food, given that the birds eat the seed heads  off flowering plants.  Any opinions?

    Hello folks!

Tried not to look in here until I'd done ALL the things I needed to do... it's very tempting to start the "Chelsea pictures" thread Chicky suggested, but sorting through 270-odd photos will take a while so I'll leave that until after tea.

Runnybeak, if you feed that magpie you'll have a friend for life I think.  image  They're very intelligent, I believe, so it'll probably know when it's well off!  Could it be a young one, given it has no tail & can't fly well?  I don't know what food it would choose, I'm afraid.  Hope someone else can help.

Hugs to you, Kitty - you're having a rough time to be sure.  Offload here any time!

Mynx, panic attacks are awful.  Hope you soon feel on an even keel again.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

RB I've no idea what to feed him either I'm afraid but I saw one a week or two ago flying with no tail feathers and it was having a bit of a struggle. They'll probably grow back really quickly.

He's a recent fledgling. Cat/dog food will be fine for him, but beware, as has been said, you're likely to have a friend for life ;-)

Home again and relieved to find hubby feeding the kids, (even if it involves man fire and raw meat in the back garden).image

Mum seems much better today, maybe a combination of the antibiotics and my home cooking.image

Just had a quick shower to freshen up so am currently sat on my bed in my PJ's putting off having to go and tackle the mess in the kitchen. Can't stay too long though as I've got to make spicy bean wraps for the veggie.

Thank you for everyone's kind messages today, they really cheered me up.image
