Good morning Dove. You've got your days worked out.

Ive just been outside to get the washing in - it's no drier than when I hung it out I think, so now its spread over various drying racks and towels in the tumble dryer.  Very cold.

hope you have a good time with Hosta and Hubby.image

I saw some of the flower market stuff. I thought that the automated Lily line was fantastic....and not a,Lily beetle in sight.

Morning all. Expecting it to be very quiet at work today; it feels like most of Sheffield have left to go to Wembley. I hope they had their jabs.

I hope it's quiet at work today. The boss has gone to France, was in holiday mood on Thursday, and left me most of Thursday's work as well as Fridays. Saturday before a bank holiday is notorious for problems. The impossible we are expected to do at once, miracles take a little longer. Have a good day folks.

Hmmm - family 'stuff' means we've not yet been able to plant our Amelanchier - (multi-stemmed around 7ft tall).  Shall we plant it this weekend, water it well until we leave on Thursday and hope it doesn't dry out ...........or water it and leave it in it's container in a very shady and protected spot until we return on the 12th?

Mer Office forecast for the relevant period is

"... Cloud and outbreaks of rain, some heavy and thundery are likely to still be affecting England and Wales during Wednesday and Thursday, but will gradually move south to be replaced by sunshine and heavy showers. Scotland and Northern Ireland however should be mostly dry with variable amounts of cloud. In the sunnier spells it will feel warm, especially in the west, but North Sea coasts are likely to be rather cool, especially in the brisk northeasterly wind. Thereafter most parts should see a good deal of dry weather, but also some showers, these most likely across the south. Northern and western parts will most likely see the driest, sunniest and warmest conditions, while elsewhere may see the fine weather broken up by some cloudier, cooler days with rain at times...."

    Morning all.

Dove, get it planted, you know it's the right thing to do.

I've got a mad few days trying to make the garden look respectable before our VIP guests arrive and , guess what? I'M GOING TO WORK TOMORROW.

That'll be a shock to the system.

They suggested I change my hours and don't work Sunday any more: " I get paid time and a half for Sunday, why would I change? Sundays are non-negotiable"

I think they got the message.

Have a good weekend one and all.
