HRH has been like a limp rag again today and when I stand her on some grass for a twinkle, her back legs collapse under her. (As she did yesterday). Now, at about 3 pm, I made a little scrambled egg for her and she licked bits off my finger until I put her in front of the bowl and she has eaten it. Hooray, and even had a drink as well. I'm due to give her antibiotics soon, so hopefully, she might be coming good. Such a relief.
The weather has been lovely today, sunny and mild and not too much wind, but it's picking up now. Luckily I got three loads of washing out and then in.
Pat; I hope HRH is improving. Pets are such a worry!
I looked at the news to find Princess Ann was knocking around Ulley Reservoir where that very morning I'd taken Reggie for a long walk. I bet she'll feel happy to know that *every* post she walked past had been pee'd on by him.
HRH sounds in a bad way. We had an alsation x Labrador that had bad teeth and had to have them all out at the age of twelve. As she would only eat fresh meat, not tinned, it all had to be minced up for her after that. The old spong mincer earned its money, none of the electrical food processors then. She lived another two years. She hated the dustbinmen , presumably because they were taking something away. Delivery men were ok. She chased them up the street once, the binmen clinging to the back of the bin lorry. They shouted at mum that they were going to report the dangerous dog. She laughed and showed them the dogs mouth. What is she going to do? Give you a nasty suck and gum you to death? She did look fierce, like an all black wolf. We had her when I was a baby, she was soft as tripe with those she knew and fiercely protective. Mum always knew we were safe out playing, because the dog would always protect us against strangers.
good morning all gdayPat . On phone ( still in bed) and on phone so please excuse Typos.
More meetings today. Hopefully I'll also get some garden time. Toms need potting on andust smarten up some lawn edges and put the weed & feed on front lawn.
Ill also make a spaghetti Bol in the hope that teenager likes it - she's not sure. (They all do don't they???)
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Chicklet is coming home today??????. She has finished lectures and has a week to go before her exams start, so she decided to come and revise here. Will be so lovely to have her around for a bit
Garden talk last night was great - really entertaining, and loads of tips on ways to thwart the pests and diseases - some quite surprising. Wil be soaking my secateurs in tomato ketchup to clean them - i'll do some before and after pics for you all. Good luck with your talk Lizzie ???

Good luck with the presentation Lizzie, I am sure they will love it.
It was my Garden Club meeting yesterday, we were given a recipe for killing weeds, vinegar and salt and washing up liquid, tried and tested apparently. Meeting was held in a lovely garden, 16 acres too so plenty to walk around. Might try the ketchup thingy, maybe.
Hope HRH perks up a bit today, such a shame for them when they get old.
Great to see Reggie looking so healthy and happy.
Off on a school trip today as a helper, the kids are doing some sort of sponsored walk, I do hope the rain clears off.
Good day to all.

When young we used to do the old pennies in tomato ketchup. . . . they came up like new.
