Morning all, afternoon Pat, glad your finding your way round the new forum
Dove sounds like you have another busy day! Love and hugs to all x
Clari, I totally agree about the fire starting idiots! I can't understand the lack of common sense that is shown sometimes! Think some townies need a crash course in common sense before they are allowed to set foot in the countryside!
Lovely day with papa womble yesterday, took him out to some beauty spots he hadn't been to before. Happened to stop by my little plant stall mans house but he wasn't home so I had to be content with what I found on the front yard.
2 maroon hollyhocks
3 sweet William bright eyes
1 lavender munstead
Quite restrained really! Got rained off last night so planting in drizzle today
Sitting here ostensibly working, actually waiting for my roses to arrive
In the meantime, having realised there is a more established forum member with a very similar name to mine, I have amended mine to geum keenbutgreen. I like geums
We are having the exact opposite right now. Saw a window of opportunity to get outside and do some planting. Heavens opened. I am now wetter than I've possibly ever been with my clothes on. Even my underwear got soaked, and I thought my coat was waterproof!
talking of ducks: Mrs Mallard has produced 14, yes fourteen ,babies this year. Saw them last week but all bunched up so couldn't count them. Saw them yesterday and managed a head count.
Mrs Coot has a few and the Canada geese have 5 strapping youngsters.

This is the result of a person trying to fix up an old car and driving it in long dry grass. (Hot exhaust)
Enough said.
Hubby and the team got called out to this fire a few weeks ago. Luckily is was very close to where we live, so the guys could get there pretty fast.
Holy moly Pat, that's awful

Tiddling it down here all day. Even the ducks have given up and gone back to the canal.
