Amazing how quickly it gets too hot for digging holes ?☀️?  Instead the hammock is getting its first airing of the year.  Don't think I've ever been able to lie in it whilst my tulips are still in flower??.....its been a strange old weather year

Sorry - fat fingers got in the wayimage

just noticed that you get a black progress bar at thebottom of the reply box whilst your photo is loading ......thats handyimage

  • The knee is icky!!!!image Still sore and all bandaged up....so not really able to bend down . Went to town and got some huge plasters with a big pad in the middle so that the yucky stuff is completely covered. Didn't hinder the gardening too much, but thanks to all of you that asked, I think I may pull through! Tomatoes now in the greenhouse, and greenhouse plants all outside. It has been a lovely day here, so now ready for a sit down with something cold and alcofrolic.imageimage

I got about two thirds of the sweet peas in. Now it's chucking it down with rain. Sue Pollard and Winston. Churchill will have to wait until tomorrow now.

I had 900g of live mealworms  arrive today. The blackbird loves them. I've put them in the garage fridge. Do I feed them?

    See original post

Ours usually come with some bran in with them or a little bag of bran to sprinkle on them  - but they're usually comatose in our garage fridge.

Mine just came with some damp newspaper.

While I was plating sweet peas, I tipped them out of the roottrainers and found a vine weevil grub.  Considering they were on a shelf in the greenhouse, I wasn't expecting that.

A tasty morsel for the robin though.

That's planting sweet peas, not plating. We need the edit button back.

image LOL Fidget - I will be plating peas tonight - along with new pots, chicken and local asparagus - yum. Quite fancy Hosta's laksa though..... I could make it to Devon in 5 hrs with a tail wind...

You're right though Fidget - we definitely need the Edit button back - though it might be fun if people post some rude things unintentionally in the meantime (I'm about 6 and still titter at the word 'knickers')image

Hot and heavy work done today. Time for a cuppa, then shower.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
