Packed a bag, ready to get on a train. Got a work meeting to go to this morning (with non- english speaking Japanese and an interpreter .....could be fun)....and then off to the showground at 3pm......sooooooo excited?????
We've had a terrible day. Feel quite washed out. Phone calls from both his daughters, one is coming to stay with him overnight, the other is trying to stop her coming. My phone has rung hot. Last call was from him to say they are keeping him in hospital overnight and would we please bring the dog to our place. I feel an early night coming on.
Also thevweather bureau is predicting a very cold night all over the south east, so that'll be fun. We don't know yet how the dog will go. Not sure whether she should be on a lead or not. Dont know her toilet habits. I'm too old for this.
Morning all, couldn't sleep so as well as a sundowner last night i was up to see sunrise in with a cuppa at 4.30am. Thank you all for your kind comments and wishes what a lovely bunch you all are. Now kettle is on so taking orders for coffee or tea....
No time to read everything, but hope your friend is ok. Bushman - hard when friends start to 'go'. Makes your own mortality seem a bit more fragile.
Lovely day here again. Could have done with this week off.
Good news for you Hosta. Don't work too hard though....
Only watched a bit of Chelsea. Love Cleve West - but I admire him enormously anyway. Didn't catch Andy Sturgeon's though - I like most of the work he does. I don't like the endless repetition - recording is great - can just fast forward all the unnecessary. Like Carol Klein's suit
I said - I don't like the endless repetition....
People get so worked up about it all though. Not sure why. Chelsea is a show and all showing of any type is full of excess, extra fripperies, sidelines and nonsense.
Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
HF in the last week I've gained two sisters on here so if you're interested in becoming a brother/kindred spirit to three beeaauuuutiful lydies.....we're interviewing. On reading all the chit chat about CFS my last two words before switching off last night were "pretentious kack"!
I wouldn't mind if the " celebs" were keen gardeners, or had something witty to say.
Maureen Lipman,( love her. " daaaaaaaaaaaahling, wouldn't you simply diiiiiiiiiiiiiiie without Mahler ) even admitted she only goes into her garden once every couple of months. !!!!!
Bushman, sorry to hear of your loss. Had some sad news last night too, one of my parents closest friends died of a massive heart attack yesterday. A big shock to us and his family.

Good morning all
G'day Pat
A gorgeous morning here - sunshine and wall to wall blue skies
It's been a bit hectic here so have just done some catching up - ((hugs)) to all that need them, especially Bushman
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all.
Hope your friend gets the help he needs Pat.

Another day of gardening and relaxing in the sun
.
Morning all.
Glorious sunny morning but very breezy.
Might make the most of the breeze and get the grass cut when it dries off.
Spinning trees? Monty's suit? not sure which was the more contrived and pretentious.
